So... Nobody wants to talk about the worst Presidential speech given in any living American's lifetime?

PETER DOOCY: Mr. President, do you think all Trump supporters to be a threat to the country?
Quote:
PRESIDENT BIDEN: I don't consider any Trump supporter to be a threat. I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence and intends violence and refuses to acknowledge an election has been won, tinsists upon changing the way the rules you count votes. That is a threat to democracy. Democracy and everything we stand for. Everything we stand for rests on the platform of democracy.
When people voted for Donald Trump, they weren't voting for attacking the Capitol. They' weren't voting for overruling the election. They were voting for a philosophy he put forward. So I'm not talking about anything other than: It is inappropriate and it is not only happening here but in other parts of the world, where there is a failure to condemn violence whenever it is used for political purposes, failure to condemn the attempt to manipulate electoral outcomes, and failure to acknowledge when elections were won or lost.
Save it dipshit.
We watched the country burn down in the summer of 2020 and you motherfuckers not only didn't condemn any of it but you were cheerleading it.
You even let them do it en masse without masks while you shut down everything and even went to the extremes of turning off people's utilities if they had parties you deemed too large.
Get fucked.

Quote:
Republicans accuse Democratic lawmakers of doing nothing, and that’s not quite the case. Just about every Democratic mayor, governor, and elected official has issued some statement in opposition. Wisconsin governor Tony Evers politely requested, “if you are going to protest, please do so peacefully and safely.” Representative Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri noted that Martin Luther King Jr. never led a demonstration at night.
If the Democrats want to argue that Donald Trump cannot stop additional rioting, because the current rioting is occurring on his watch, they can make that argument. But it is fair to wonder what, if anything, a President Biden would do differently.
I suspect that quite a few Democrats believe — or want to believe — that once Biden is in office, racial tensions will just naturally calm down, various police reform initiatives will go into effect, and American cities will stop being tinderboxes of rage.

I wonder. Has any President marched up to the podium holding hand with his wife before?
Are we being prepared for President Jill Biden*?
I can only listen to so much hypocrisy, projection, and smear. I had to break it up into 10-minute chunks, and even then I wanted to wash my ears out with soap.

Yeah. It certainly wasn't made for sane people.
Second's even vomited in this thread, but it wasn't about the speech. Even Second won't say it was a good speech.

Quote:It was a pleasure listening to a Trump speech because it was absolute proof that the people who approved of him were stupid as hell, which explained why the people I knew weren't doing so well in life. It is hard to get inside their heads to learn what fantasies and misconceptions were ruining them, but Trump put it all on display. If they believed Trump, they were suckers.

Same thing happens with a Biden speech, but once again Biden speeches are a window into the minds of people who approve of Trump. The parts of a Biden speech that makes them angry or scoffing are the parts that explain why those people don't prosper in America.
Trump giving a speech blaming Mexicans for his voters' problems explains too much about his voters, not so much about Trump. Biden giving a speech about immigrants explains much about Trump's voters, too.
Same thing is true about speeches on the last election. How Trump voters react to false accusations about Democrats says much about the honesty of Trump voters. How Trump voters react to truth about cheating by Republicans also says much about the honesty and intelligence of Republicans, explaining why Republicans struggle to stay in the middle class. Republicans aren't honest, aren't smart and they aren't going to do well because of those qualities.

I'll take your word for it. My new rule with Second is if I read one sentence and it has no relation to the thread or whoever he quoted and what they said than I don't read beyond that.
This eliminates 99.8% of Seconds posts.
78% of his posts are especially easy and only require a skim because he starts off more than three quarters of his posts with Trump or a derivative of Trump in the first sentence.
