Hey, another thought SIX: You seem to be good with wood. Have you ever thought pf furnitur repair? Not particle board and plywood furniture bc it can't be repaired anyway, but say somebody has a nice piece of wooden furniture they want to get fixed....

Have to see where I can put a fan in the bedroom. I don't like going to bed though with a wet head.

It's what my Mom and Step-Dad did for 25 years. The things I could have learned and the skills I could have had. I probably would have owned that shop now instead of watching my Step-Dad sell it to an employee along with the quarter of a century name they'd built up for a song when they moved.
Bummer.
I'm thinking that I'd like to actually BUILD furniture though. There's always a market for that with high-end clients, and the internet would facilitate it. I've been watching TONS of woodworking videos recently. One guy even makes sets of 6 drink coasters out of scrap 4x4s and his wife sells the sets on ETSY for $35 a piece. Making one of those sets at a time for $35 wouldn't be very economical, but making 50 of them at once could be.
Now that I've got a workshop I'd have to start getting some better tools for that though. I've got two awesome table saws and a jigsaw, but my miter saw is kind of old and cruddy. I've got a really nice router, but no table for it and a very limited selection of bits (which are quite expensive if you want good ones). My clamps are good enough for projects around my house, but if I ever want to get serious about this I need some serious metal ones like my step-dad sold along with the business. He probably had $5,000 worth of them on the wall.
But you don't need all of that for coasters.

Another lazy Sunday here. Grams and Aunt weren't feeling up to coming out and it was already pretty uncomfortably hot and humid outside a few hours before they would have been here anyway. I'd like for them to come when it cools down and we can chill on the front porch instead of being cooped up with the A/C.
Did a little cleaning, but still got a long way to go. The old man is coming by this week though, so it will get done soon.
I did manage to install my 2nd extension cord holder up in my garage pretty late at night, so that minor project is out of the way. I also cut and put down one of the sheets of contact paper on one of my pantry drawer shelves. Got everything I need in the basement ready for the other one so I'll make quick work of that tomorrow morning and finally be able to check the pantry off of my to-do list.
