For your anti-nuke argument, upgrading the country’s nuclear arsenal remains a priority for the Kremlin. Kartapolov said 49 billion roubles will be allocated for the nuclear armed complex on an annual basis from 2022-2023. The figure for 2024 will be about 56 billion roubles.
6ix, Putin wouldn't spend that money for something that he can't use because he is a peace-loving man spending nothing on nukes.

6ix, ask yourself what the world will do if Putin does nuke Kyiv? Just one little nuke to kill Zelenskyy and decapitate Ukraine's government. The most likely action is more of what the world has already done to Russia. Doing the same is not much of a deterrent. The world won't invade Russia if Putin nukes Kyiv and the world won't nuke Moscow, either. Nuking Kyiv doesn't seem like a bright idea, but then attempting to capture Kyiv didn't seem bright, either.

Signym, Russia has a history that goes back to 862. Unless there has been some kind of magic that has made Russians in 2022 completely different people, their characteristics had been set for a very long time. Putin, for example, has a long history, none of which looks like he is the kind of man who wouldn't murder President Zelenskyy by nuking Kyiv. Even recently, like today, Putin is "Denazifying" Ukraine by killing women and children. I'll give you a hint -- that is not how Denazification is done, Signym. What Putin is doing is straight forward conquest, but he won't even call it a war. A Russian calling it a war will be jailed under a new law passed this year.
