Why does Russian President Vladimir Putin say I’m a Nazi? That’s easy: I’m a Ukrainian American, born and raised in New York City, who is proud of his heritage and wants his ancestral homeland to be a nice, democratic, liberal country. According to Putin and his comrades, however, all Ukrainians who think of themselves as different from Russians are “Nazis.” Hence, Russian calls to de-Nazify Ukraine are nothing less than calls to destroy everything that makes Ukraine different from Putin’s fascist Russia.
The Kremlin insists it has a right to defend the rights of Russian speakers in the entire world. To be sure, the Russians have a funny way of showing their solicitude: The residents of Mariupol, Ukraine, spoke primarily Russian and their “liberation” entailed their city’s complete destruction.

I used to think that Republicans had different values than Democrats and that explained the conflict between the two. Similarly, that Russians had different values than Americans and that explained the Cold War conflict. But I realized it is Democrats who have whole sets of different values and those explain why different Democrats conflict with each other. Republicans didn’t have values, neither did Russians, but both had a condition of saying NO! to everything. Republicans and Russians are the arteriosclerosis, or the impacted colon, of humanity. They just plug up everything. Republicans and Russians are medical conditions that require strong laxatives to keep the world functioning. Strain at stool is what Republicans and Russians are to the world. See your political gastroenterologist for Republicans; have Ukraine give Russia a huge enema to flush the Russkies out. The world will temporarily feel better, but within months the Republicans and Russians will return to once again plug the bowels of the world.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have become the first European countries to cut off gas imports from Russia, a move that seeks to curtail Russian President Vladimir Putin’s main revenue source.
The three NATO members, all former Soviet republics, have resisted Moscow’s rule since former Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin absorbed them during World War II. For years, they have been combating Russian misinformation and efforts to stir up unrest among their Russian-speaking citizens. The war in Ukraine has vindicated their fears.
“For years, they have raised the alarm that Russia is their most existential threat,” wrote NBC News. “Yet, they feel they received little response prior to the invasion of Ukraine.”
Michael Gerson is warning that Putin might invade the Baltics next. Exiled Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, formerly the richest man in Russia, shares that view. Khodorkovsky now believes Putin has no compunctions about waging a war against NATO, starting with the Baltics.

Putin's Defence Minister suffers heart attack 'not from natural causes' amid Ukraine war
Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has reportedly suffered a massive heart attack amid the war with Ukraine and foul play is being suspected.
Vladimir Putin's Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, who has not been spotted for a few days now, has reportedly suffered a massive heart attack 'not from natural causes'. This comes as reports also claimed that 20 generals have been arrested for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has not been very successful until now.
According to reports, Shoigu, who has been a close ally of Russian President Putin since 2012, has been missing in action for some weeks now.
Russian-Israeli businessman Leonid Nevzlin also made a sensational claim about a major rift between Putin and his closest advisers and military leaders.
Two days before Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, a video of President Vladimir Putin started doing the rounds on social media. In the video, Putin was seen asking Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service chief Sergey Naryshkin to "speak plainly" about his stand on recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states.
Despite the fact that Naryshkin is counted among his closest aides, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not shy away from publicly embarrassing one of his top-ranking officials.
Another picture going viral on social media shows Putin sitting at a distance from Russia's Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu and others during a meeting.
This led to speculation about differences of opinion between the Russian President and his top officials. Many say Putin did not want any ambiguity on the subject of Ukraine within his inner circle.
Appointed the Minister of Defence in 2012, Sergey Shoigu was at the helm when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. A long-time confidante of Putin, many say Shoigu accompanies the Russian President on hunting trips.
Soon after Russian forces started pouring into Ukraine on February 24, it was Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu who put Russia's "nuclear deterrent forces on high alert" at the direction of President Vladimir Putin.
