So it looks like the Shining Path folks will surrender or officially turn into what they've been for a while, another violent drug gang.

FARC seems to have pissed enough Columbians off to generate massive protests and calls for them to back down. Hard to stage a popular revolution when you're not very popular. Looks like they may also go the official violent drug gang route, or maybe go to work for Pres. Chavez more directly. He probably needs thugs.

I'm sure Maxine Waters and the resident sympathizers in the US Congress will find some way to send them down some emergency aid.

Maybe Cynthia McKinney can take a break from gun running over in Gaza to help out the cause.
