P.S. GoFundMe is done. They really thought they could get away with keeping their cut but not giving the money where it was supposed to go.
They were giving all people who donated until February 19th to request their money back, otherwise it would go to another charity (And they'd still get their 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction cut on all the donations).
That all changed when Twitter was being flooded with people telling them not to cancel it through GoFundMe but to charge back through their credit cards, hitting GFM with a $15 processing fee per incident. Then at 1:52AM yesterday morning they tweeted that "to make it convenient for everyone" they're going to refund the money to everybody without needing to request it back.
Elon Musk tweets that GoFundMe are professional thieves.
Lawsuits for GoFundMe are incoming.
Meanwhile, fuck 'em. They're doing the alternative route like I said they should have before. On top of the $1 Million they already got from GoFundMe before they shut it down, they've already raised over $2 Million more on alternative platform GiveSendGo.

The more time that passes, the more it's very clear that I've been right about everything since the beginning.
I can only hope that my trepidation of the vaccine is unfounded and that the worst case scenario is that it just doesn't work and all they got out of it was a few years of mass compliance.
In any event, I'd say the grand social experiment I'd called it in early-to-mid 2020 has been a monumental success.
