Pretty much what everyone before me has said. It's a new dramedy on Fox that's pretty damn awesome. It focuses on a group of kids in high school that are at the bottom of the social food chain as they join a glee club (show choir). There's also focus on the overstrung (pretty butch) cheerleading coach that wants nothing other than to bring the club down. It's fun, it's quirky, it mocks high school in the most delicious ways and on top of it they sing (And a couple of the cast members have some broadway background so there's some top notch performances).

It should also be mentioned that this show is Fox's new baby and it's as popular as hell. They're talking solo albums for all the cast members, concert tours, and the iTunes singles releases have been hitting the iTunes charts and far exceeding the expectations of the executives (It was released today their rendition of 'Don't Stop Believing' has sold 2 million copies on iTunes). Pairing that with the fact they are keeping the production costs low because music artists are letting them use their songs free of charge (Madonna just told them they have her entire song catalog at their disposal and need not pay royalties), this show doesn't look to be dying anytime soon.

Do you mean to ask why the show itself was shit?

I couldn't say myself since I never watched it, but I did like their version of Last Christmas. I know people who liked it who's opinion I respect when it comes to TV and cinema, even if a musical style show or movie is something I wouldn't watch in a million years unless I was watching Little Shop of Horrors for the 30th time.

As for the show being cursed?

Doubt it. Just idiots with too much money and fame doing what idiots with too much money and fame tend to do. Especially when you add young to that list.

I've never seen 3 seconds of the show, but I remember my old man of all people raving about it until maybe the last season or so.

Was it really that woke? I wonder what he'd think about it now since his opinions on everything entertainment have changed so much since back then. If it's as bad as you're saying it is, I bet he wouldn't be able to stomach a single episode now that the normie blinders have been removed.

Hollywood better figure this out. People are exhausted with the non-stop preaching and don't want to see it anymore.
