Elon Musk is VERY good at one thing: SUCKING MONEY OUT OF GOVERNMENT.
ANYTHING that he's done either depended on government subsidies to make profitable (Solar City, Tesla) or on direct government contracts (SpaceX).
So, Elon Musk says he'll pay that much in taxes? I'll believe it when I see it.

The hyperloop is a freakin' joke. It will NEVER happen.
They can't even make a 3 mile long tube above ground that doesn't end up rusting on the inside walls and maintain a seal and integrity that would withstand a constant vacuum.
How the hell would they be able to do the necessary and CONSTANT maintenance underground?
In California of all places, where the ground might not be in the same place as it was yesterday.

Yeah. I hadn't seen that one before. It wasn't the one I was looking for, but I feel it got the point across.
Anyone who buys a ticket to any future Hyperloops should have to watch that first before they decide if it's worth it.
