Maybe this might open the whole Capital Punishment debate thing, Europe doesn't really execute anyone anymore, Aus and NZ also.
Some Middle East countries deliver Capital punishment for cannabis trafficking, a low class drug that some might argue is almost harmless.
Even in Singapore classed as a Western style democracy, the Death penalty has been carried out many times for cannabis trafficking

People dying in the USA are not dying from Class C drugs or Class D
Fentanyl or rapid-acting synthetic opioids are ranked as Class-A, Fentanyl is a highly toxic synthetic opioid, it is an illegal Class A drug.

I hate to say some place like Cuba got it correct but The tolerance for Crime and Degeneracy and Looting and Drugs is now off the scale in the USA.

Our doctors and pharmacists are doing a damn fine job killing Americans and leaving those who survived with a lifelong crippling opioid addiction too.

My freakin' Dentist, who I actually really like, tried writing me a scrip for them when I had my first tooth pulled.

I wouldn't even take Nitrous when I had 13 of them pulled in one go, after taking it when the first tooth pull made me feel like I was drunk and I didn't want to ever do that again. I wouldn't even let him write me a script for Tylenol when we were done.

Aside from the doctors freely prescribing opioids - AND the drug companies that LIED for DECADES and told the doctors their drugs were specifically made to be non-addictive - I blame the street drugs.

They were concentrated, mixed, synthesized, and in short designed to be highly addictive, so that your first experiment would be your last moment as a non-addict.
