It is possible to get W.V. Senators to vote for lower CO2, but it would require throwing $billions at the state every year to bribe the Senators and, especially, their voters. But that won't work because other states' Senators would want the same bribes, and because those states have far larger populations of voters, the cost of bribery would be far more expensive than in W.V. and, therefore, won't pass.

I would suggest the point here is that 99% of democrats would vote for the Biden climate change legislation with zero republicans willing to do so.
That says it all. And its always been this way. Nothing left to discuss.

Winter bills haven't come yet.
Get back to us in January with your fake poll you just pulled out of your ass when Biden* sticker shock sets in.

This is too crudely stated, but most humans operate on the same level as animals needing carrots and sticks to motivate them. They lack enough imagination or knowledge to be moved by anything else.

While our ancestors have been around for about six million years, the modern form of humans evolved about 200,000 years ago. Civilization as we know it is only about 6,000 years old, and industrialization started in the earnest only in the 1800s. Most humans have not yet imagined the need to dispose of the CO2 from their engines in the same way as they dispose of sewage, another waste that costs $trillions every year to build infrastructure and operate the disposal. Imagine how messy the world would be without sewers. The world is headed for a bigger mess unless it learns how to handle its CO2. But don't expect many people, of either party, to understand and they certainly won't pay unless the world is burning down. They didn't pay for sewers until the world was stinking to high heaven and people were dying by the thousands from disease carried by dirty water.

It is not just America's Republican Senators plus Sen. Joe Manchin (W.V. Democrat) who won't properly dispose of CO2 waste. Every country has their version of Joe Manchin: Not one single country on earth is willing to stop extracting fossil fuels.
There is literally not a single country willing to leave fossil fuels in the ground if that requires even a minor economic sacrifice. Not one. Put bluntly, this means that no country has any standing to criticize any other. Every single country on earth either (a) has no fossil fuel reserves, or (b) is committed to extracting every last dram of it.

Even during a massive recession, CO2 emissions increased in 2020. Why should we think that the coming decade will be any different? When will we finally admit that our current approach is hopeless and we need to try something different?

Yup.
It's really easy to blame big bad Orange Man for the weather.
But once those Democrat winter bills hit home, Democrats are done.
Any of them being reelected before the first winter bill hits is getting lucky. November 2022 isn't going to be so kind.
Especially since unemployment stopped in September and that eviction moratorium has just about puttered out.
Though I don't suppose you're going to be too worried about heating bills when you're out in the snow.
And I'm sure that those homeless Joe Biden* voters are going to be happy knowing that all of the illegal aliens currently invading our country and Biden*'s 100,000 Afghan Terrorists he's relocating at $67,000 per person are getting housed and fed. Maybe remembering that's what they voted for will keep them warm at night?

Quote:When energy prices go up while Republicans are in control, then voters will flip back to Democrat. Most voters do NOT understand, probably will never understand that the top 1% control the prices of everything, while the Federal government controls the prices of nothing. Well, the Federal government has controlled prices during wartime because the government didn't want to lose WWII just because the richest 1% were greedily raising prices as fast as possible. But government is not controlling prices now since the government doesn't see global warming is a danger as big as Hitler.

Oh. You're arguing an event that's never happened in any of our lifetimes?
Okay then. LOL

Who Is To Blame For Rising Gasoline Prices?
On a daily basis I see accusations on social media that this price rise is a consequence of Joe Biden winning the presidential election. I am going to explain why this is ludicrous
