Quote:The same problem showed up after the Civil War. The slave-owners or wannabe owners who started the war claimed they didn't start it. They claimed their rights were violated, their property, slaves, stolen. The President of Confederacy wrote a multi-volume history about how he was right and Lincoln was wrong and that ex-slaves were happier as slaves. Every word coming out of the ex-Confederate states was nonsense and bullshit. Every word coming out of Trumptards' computers is nonsense and bullshit. So many years between the Civil War ending and Trump losing, but crazy, stupid losers never change.

Fuck you, Woke Joke.
Nobody gives a shit about the opinion of your hive.
Why don't you tell me all about how Leftist violence isn't violence, and how those white millennial brainwashed college kids weren't doing whatever the fuck they wanted to do.
P.S.
If you got a vaccine, what the fuck are you worried about?
Either it works and you're fine, or it doesn't work and I don't need it.
Period.

Then just for once I want you to say LOUD AND CLEAR to everybody here that you are 100% against Businesses forcing people to get a vaccination in order to work there or to buy food.
Otherwise, save it.
You want it loud and clear?
For the record, IN THIS CASE I'm against mandatory vaccinations because
1) The vaccinations don't do enough to stop transmission but
2) They do a pretty good job of protecting the vulnerable against death
If anything in that calculation were to change, I might change my opinion depending on what other options were available. Yanno, one air pollution district had a "thou shalt not" rule. It was pretty generic. Business was not supposed to disturn the health, repose etc of a community. You'd be all for that, I'm sure. But when it comes to YOUR responsibility not to put people at risk, well, you seem to take that pretty lightly and you seem to want others to ignore it altogther.

Oh puuuhleeze. Stop pretending that you're at the head of a mob calling everyone you accuse to account. It's pathetic. Your egomania is pathetic.
But I agree with Signy.
In fact, I'll be even more expansive.
I disagree that corporations and other legal fictitious entities are people.
And I abhor that private and state entities can ignore or remove our Constitutional protections.
But in addition, I agree with mask mandates, yes, even by businesses and employers. It's a long-standing right of property owners. It violates no Constitutional protection. And if you're in their place, it's at their invitation, and on their terms. It's the old 'no shirt, no shoes, no service' mantra.
Furthermore, SHOULD it become necessary to mandate vaccinations, I think it SHOULD come from the federal government.

The head of Florida’s largest hospital association warned that the skyrocketing number of Covid hospitalizations is unlike anything the state has seen before — even as Gov. Ron DeSantis downplays the spike.
The Florida Hospital Association on Monday reported 10,389 Covid-19 hospitalizations, the most statewide during any point in the pandemic. This follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting over the weekend that the state had more than 21,000 new coronavirus infections on Friday. It was the highest one-day total for Florida, which now makes up roughly one in five new cases nationally.
About 95 percent of those hospitalized are unvaccinated, and Mary Mayhew, the president and CEO of the Florida Hospital Association, said the Delta variant that is sweeping through Florida is infecting young and unvaccinated people and is much different than the previous strain.
“We have to convince 25-year-olds, 30-year-olds that this is now life threatening for them,” Mayhew said during an interview on Morning Joe. “That is not what they saw and what we experienced last year.”
As Florida’s coronavirus infections continue to soar, public health officials and local elected leaders have pressed the DeSantis administration to take more drastic steps to get the virus under control. DeSantis, however, has maintained a strict “no-mandate” approach to the virus, including touting an executive order last week that prohibits school districts from requiring masks in K-12 facilities. He also vowed to fight any cities or municipalities that try to institute Covid restrictions, including mask mandates or lockdowns.

You're a tool then.
The WMDs were real.

How are they going to do that? By killing a bunch of kids?
Because the virus isn't doing that.
Delta ain't killing people dude.
Even the Legacy Media admits that... most of the time... when it suits them.

Well, it appears you've got no argument except name-calling.
How surprising.

Hypocrisy needs not be argued against.

Such as?
Here - in font so you can't miss it -
As I stated
I'm AGAINST private entities being considered 'people. And I'm AGAINST either private entities or states being able to get around Constitutional protections.
And I'm AGAINST private entities or states mandating the vaccine.
Let me add this too, since it's one of my tenets: I think we need to add a Constitutional amendment that ensures PERSONAL PRIVACY - which means against intrusion by other levels of government, businesses, and individuals; the same way a lot of European governments have amended their constitutions to ensure personal privacy in the age of mass personal electronic and other spying, and data gathering.
Is that, finally, clear enough for you to understand?
But JUST LIKE SIGNY I can imagine that facts may change, to be different from today. It may be some very bad version of this virus, or another future virus. But we might need mandated vaccines, the exact same way we have other mandated vaccines like rabies and mumps and measles.
However, I think it should be at the federal level, not the state, or county. IE in a country-wide epidemic, or international pandemic, the federal government should do it directly, instead of having the government hide behind corporations and states.
