I already explained to you that these social media outlets that you claim are news sources are merely social media entertainment venues.
TV Network News? They merely regurgitate what Amazon, Google, Facebook designate as allowable truths after distillation. None of them have had a News Department since the mid 1990's - they are all part of the ENTERTAINMENT DEPARTMENT.

I just want to comment on the WaPo article. Unlike the mindless narrative drivel we get treated to every day, imo it's important news.

According to the various news items I looked through about this, the federal 'vaccination passports' push is - supposedly - in service to private companies, because they're 'demanding' it. Though why the federal government should put itself in their service instead of being in service to us citizens is a mystery, unless of course one makes the mental leap and understands that our government - even the democrats* - represents NOT US.

Hopefully it sparks significant pushback that has political force, even though it won't have Constitutional force. That Constitutional barrier was broken way back in the day (1980's) when corporations and other employers started insisting on mass drug testing. And a sharp divide was drawn between the Constitutional protections against the government, and the complete absence of them against private parties.

BTW, that intrusion has been extended to your employer being able to fire you for things you post on facebook on your own time using your own money (you have no freedom of expression with private parties), legal medical treatments and care you receive (like contraception), for actions you take that are recorded by private surveillance videos, etc. And of course businesses are allowed to harvest and sell private information about you. And finally, government is allowed to harvest whatever information is gathered by private entities, and to video/ camera surveillance you in public areas, because any protection you have is confined to the four walls of your curtained home, gathered directly by government. Though that hasn't seemed to stop the spook agencies from gathering emails, phone conversations and so on, illegally.

I've never disagreed that it could happen Jack, or even that it was happening. My only comment was that I didn't see any evidence of it yet. But it's been a possibility ever since when - and people have been talking about it for a long, long time - especially the people at Zero Hedge. So I've been making a point of looking for it.

Take a look at the Cooperative Election Study, which is a large academic survey of voters taken after each election, to better understand how little income matters to White voting patterns. https://cces.gov.harvard.edu/

Non-college White voters wanted no part of voting Democratic in 2020 House races, regardless of their income levels. White voters without a college degree favored Republicans by about a 26-point margin, if their family income was below the median. They voted Republican by a 31-point margin if their family income was above the median.

Among all White respondents, the Democratic margin increased by 39 points when respondents had a college degree. The House margin among all White respondents shifted by 5 points toward the Democrats, when their family income was above the median compared to below.

It's not that higher income makes White voters more Democratic, but rather that education is such a powerful pull and more educated voters tend to be wealthier. This is why we see wealthier White areas trending Democratic and poorer areas trending Republican in recent years. The latter tend to be filled with less educated voters, while the former tend to have more educated voters.

In other words, income matters very little among White voters. Education means everything.

But in 2006, it was very different. White voters without a college degree actually favored Democrats by a 3-point margin, if their family income was below the median. White voters favored Republicans by a 13-point margin, if their family income was above the median.

In fact among all White respondents, the Democrats' margin increased by 14 points depending on whether their family income was below or above the median. It increased by just 5 points, depending on whether they had a college degree.

That is, income seemed to have a greater effect on voting patterns than did education levels in 2006, which is very different from 2020. When you had districts that had below-average education levels and income levels, there was a decent shot they'd vote Democratic, just like Iowa's 2nd and Ohio's 18th Districts did in 2006. This isn't the case today.

Back in 2006, Democrats could rightly argue they had a lot of support by at least one definition of the White working class.

Today, Republicans can rightly claim to have the support of the White working class based on either an economic- or education-based definition.

As expected, Amazon employees in Georgia voted nearly 3 to 1 against their own best interests. I wonder how long it will be before 738 people lose their jobs.

Meanwhile, Bezos banked 50 Billion during the Plandemic, which I've heard is enough money to double every Amazon employee's salary and pay for their health insurance in full, and still leave him rolling in Billions.

He forgot that humans need to pee, so expect them to be replaced with self-driving trucks sooner than expected since he realized he has to pay for their piss breaks.

At the start of his employment, he said, it concentrated more on neutral coverage based on reports from The Associated Press or Reuters. He saw it as a scrappy upstart where he could produce cheeky feature stories, he said," Abrams wrote. "During the Trump presidency, it moved right, Mr. Golingan said. And when he was watching coverage of the pro-Trump mob breaking into the Capitol, he said, he worried that his work might have helped inspire the attack."

"He added that he and others at OAN disagreed with much of the channel's coverage. 'The majority of people did not believe the voter fraud claims being run on the air,' Mr. Golingan said in an interview, referring to his colleagues," the report states. "He recalled seeing a photo of someone in the Capitol mob holding a flag emblazoned with the OAN logo. 'I was like, OK, that's not good,' Mr. Golingan said. 'That's what happens when people listen to us',"

"Allysia Britton, a news producer, said she was one of more than a dozen employees who had left OAN in the wake of the Capitol riot. She criticized some of what the channel had reported, saying it was not up to journalistic standards," the Times report states with Britton confessing, Many people have raised concerns. And the thing is, when people speak up about anything, you will get in trouble."

While OAN has so far avoided a lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems over defamatory comments about election fraud, some employees wish one was forthcoming to change the culture at the network.
