I found out End of the Innocence was not the same album as Dirty Laundry.
EoTI was released mid-1989. Recorded in 1987. Last single was released in 1985. So EoTI was likely written, composed in 1984, 85, 86, and/or 87.
Bush41 was not President.
I can see 6ix is stuck with sex on the brain.
I realized that I have never heard anybody imply or suggest that that song had anything to do with sex, or any physical sense.
Henley considers the Innocence to be the war years of LBJ, Carter, drug haze days of the 60s and 70s.

Here's another great one...
Now I know that JSF will say that it's about the actual act of sailing on the actual sea in an actual boat, but most music is a little deeper than that... at least the good music, and a song about sailing wouldn't explain the broad mass appeal, hitting number one on the Billboard charts for a week in 1980 and winning song and album of the year.
A millennial meth head who'd never heard this song before could accidentally stumble upon it one night in 2021 and be like "yeah, that's what happens when I smoke meth, man".
Is it about sex? Sure. It can be if that's what you want it to be. I know you've got some serious hangups about sex, JSF, but you're no judge.

I still listen to it too.
I listen to CD, tape or LP depending on my mood.
PS. Thanks for posting Buble's song. It wouldn't work with the "Official video" for me.
