Sounds to me like the author didn't even watch the show, just read up about it and assumed from the title that it was some sort of high end prostitution program. cringe.

I like how the writer pretends that Dollhouse was some how glorifying the dolls being sent out as prostitutes . The whole show was about taking down the evil organization that did such things. They were very obviously not the heroes. The hero was the woman who fought through intense brainwashing to destroy her oppressors. The show had its issues with compelling storytelling, but the plot was still about a strong woman breaking free of a terrible situation.
Good points about the timing and Joss's involvement with 3 shows. At the same time. Was this when he was also banging Eliza ? ( allegedly )
I can't say this excuses Joss, because we still don't have an accurate portrait of what really went on.
Later, towards the end of the show, that sort of assignment was mentioned, or alleged, or implied when we were learning how evil the Corporation was, the Contracts were, and how they used that assignment type to punish/demoralize those Dolls who were becoming uncooperative, becoming aware, not successfully wiped fully.
However, I do recall thinking the ads and trailers drummed up that concept repeatedly.
Dollhouse started in 2009 I think, after Eliza and Joss brainstormed it over coffee or lunch. Did they know each other in 2002?

The truth is...we all owe Joss a big fat one. He may be a bit of a douche but he's given us some truly great stuff. Leave him the fuck alone. I've read that John Ford and Stanley Cramer were real dicks to work for, are you people going to boycott 'The Grapes or Wrath' and 'Inherit the Wind'? Shut up, ALL of you.

Next article on the subject is out. With "exclusive" interviews that apparently didn't offer much because 90% of the article is just regurgitating the same information we've read over and over already. The only real new detail is he again joked that a pregnant woman was fat. My guess is Joss thinks this is funny because they're not "fat" they're carrying a baby. Apparently he's about the only one who finds that joke funny.

Eliza played 'Faith' on Buffy, in S2, 1998, and then briefly appeared on Angel.
So, yeah, they knew each other.
Eliza also played the daughter of Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis's characters in True Lies .

Well, Hollywood is obsessed with actors being slim, so I can see how it would be a thing in that industry. It's all about image and what the camera sees. And Joss, from all accounts, does seem to have a thing for the really attractive, fit looking cast. It's pretty obvious. The less attractive folks tend to be the comic relief or villains in the shows.

OK, so not directly tied to Joss, and his issues, but on the matter of Ray Fisher, who did accuse Joss of 'something', possibly 'ist related, we now have this.
Ray is somewhat more of a Jessie Smollett, it seems, than a poor put upon actor.

Seems others are a bit tired of the wolf cries from needy actresses.
And with out any real proof, or concrete claims , beyond " he was mean ", how is there any real story here ?

I'm no Joss superfan like my younger brother who got me to watch Firefly is. I couldn't stand Buffy/Angel and used to make fun of it when my younger brothers watched it. Years later after he got me to watch Firefly and I loved it, he unsuccessfully tried to get me to watch that online musical he did and I couldn't watch more than a minute of it before I said no. To be fair, the only Musical I would ever watch is Little Shop of Horrors. I couldn't even sit through the South Park Movie and I freakin' love South Park.
But he did Firefly and Cabin in the Woods, and those were awesome. I even enjoyed Dollhouse when I gave that one a shot and think it was a shame it didn't go on longer.
I think Joss is a great artist, and is capable of making a little something for everybody. You might not like everything he ever puts out, but chances are really good that you're going to really like something in his catalog.
His personal life is nobody's business. Nobody needs to know what his ex-wife thinks about him. Divorces are miserable for everybody involved. My parents still hate each other 36 years later and haven't talked in over 25 years. Live as a child through that B.S. and you're not going to put any stock in anything that any divorced person has to say about their ex.
Maybe it's all true. Don't give a shit.
And as for these actresses... I'm done hearing about any of that either.
I don't think any of the claims have reached Harvey Weinstein levels with Joss, but at this point I'll even defend HW.
So you sold your body on a couch to get a job. You weren't held at gunpoint. You weren't drugged. You weren't raped. You made a business transaction to secure a job.
Is that a SUPER douchey thing to do to somebody as a person in a position of power. You're goddamned right it is. But it's not rape. You could have just said no and gone back to waitressing. You made the choice.
Fucking deal with it.
Let the man get back to work.

I think I'd have enjoyed Cabin in the Woods more had I not seen Angel. All I saw was Wolfram & Hart running the show, or one of its subsidiaries, even down to Fred being back in the science division. Because I'd seen this stuff before, it wasn't very original.

Best I can tell, this all is centered on Charisma and her getting pregnant during the show. There's a lot of he-said, she-said, and I frankly don't believe anyone entirely. Joss had a show to produce, and a schedule to keep. Charisma, who apparently Joss was no fan of her acting in the 1st place, yet was TOLD he had to use her, now double resented her screwing up his production.
I get that. He can still be a colossal a-hole and not wrong because now one of his main stars is going to go through undeniable physical changes. And with him basically working 3 shows, ( Angel, Buffy, Firefly ) at once, I can see how weeks could go by where things went unsaid, unreported, wires get crossed, etc... there's a good chance he's not the only bad guy here. And when you add in the liability matters, her needing more rest, and then maternity leave... I can see how Joss's resentment towards the entire situation can amplify.
As for the other stuff, about Michelle T... I've no idea. He either did something, or he didn't. Said something, or not. It's been 20 years, and unless Joss is gonna be nominated for the USSC, we're apparently never gonna find out.

We've all had shitty bosses.
Either decide that the pros outweigh the cons, shut the fuck up and deal with it.
Or quit.
I don't think I'm alone when I say I'm tired of hearing rich people bitch about their lives.
This song goes out to each and every one of them.
