Jesus Christ... I had to look up "Dittohead" for context since this sentence seemed to make no sense at all.

You had to look up Dittohead? That explains much. I bet you still don't get the reference. Anyone who did listen knows what it means.
You still have no clue. Dittoheads never meant you were in total agreement with Rush, just that you listened to the show and 'got' the gist of it. He literally said this, for decades, so that new listeners would get it. It's a tongue in cheek parody of Dead-heads, or Parrot-heads... but continue to be emboldened by your ignorance.
Back in 1988, or maybe even 1989, on IIRC a Thursday (maybe Friday) a lady caller poured out her heart about how thankful she was for Rush, how everything she and her friends had known and been thinking for decades, and all of their yelling at every (MSM) Fake News programs, was finally being aired and spoken, by Rush.
The next caller was a bit subdued, and stumbled to say "me too." He did mention that he could not repeat everything she had said, and not so eloquently, but he agreed with every word of it.
The next caller started more quickly, with "me three."
Those were the last, or nearly, for the day.
The next day (Friday or Monday) the very first caller kicked off with reference to the prior calls, and said "ditto."
That whole day was started each call with Ditto, with the meaning having been established.
The next day first caller kicked off with "mega dittoes."
And there was no turning back.
All those other jackholes you mentioned are just weak tea copycats, decades after the original.

So... the original #MeToo movement.
Got it.

Hold up, are you that much of a cyborg that you remember these events down to the day and the actual callers ?
Umm, OK then, I yield to your superior intellect.
But I do know Rush has mentioned the meaning of Dittohead , even if he didn't rehash the events of its actual origin. Maybe he crafted a different definition, as the show progressed, but yeah, it generally identifies the individual as a regular listener to Rush's show.

We were driving a truck at work, and I'm quite sure we had to wipe our eyes dry to see the road.
I have many times wished I could recall the name and city of the lady who so eloquently expressed what we all thought, but it has been to foggy for me to narrow it down.
Having that weekend gap, with the first caller of the day kicking it off with this on track, was wonderful. No drop-off at all.
Yes, Rush has explained it in various ways over the years - I suspect he does not vividly recall the origins as well as his listeners of that day do, and I understand that they did not archive the shows from that time, which has been corrected at some point following that day, but that would be the most awesome replay that could be done.
The most important thing to understand, which trolls and Libtards cannot comprehend, is that Rush was not our leader, and we were not his followers. He merely voiced and had the broadcast platform for the exact things that rational, reasonable, thinking Patriots had been thinking, separately and independently for decades. WE did not listen to know what to think - like Libtards and trolls - but to hear our own thoughts voiced on the air. Vast swathes of Americans heard the resonance of common sense (and their own thoughts) when he spoke. He was merely the spokesperson for what we already thought, most of the time. As if we gave him our proxy.
And yet trolls cannot even recall or comprehend what a Dittohead is - despite claiming they actually heard the show.
There were a number of memorable moments.
One was in probably Oct 1988, and Rush had asked for a Feminist to call in, he would keep a line open for her to be able to discuss with her.
They finally got somebody to call in, claiming she was a feminist. Rush announced that she was calling from...
And my coworker (driving, in Madison, WI), Rush, and I all said in Unison "Madison Wisconsin"

Heard many a time about the 'mind numbed robots ' that listeners were alleged to have been, just waiting for marching orders from their bombastic leader, Rush.
The media and Left had it completely backwards. We had these views ourselves, already, and it was Rush who finally got on air and was able to amplify and express them where we hardly got any play from the MSM. THAT is what made Rush so ground breaking. An large % of people out there, yearning to hear someone put into words what they were already thinking, and doing it so brilliantly.
That is what the left feared, more than anything. Not that Rush ' spread hate ', because that was obviously ridiculous, but because he put into words what so many were already thinking and feeling.
Rush was effective and that's something the Left could NOT allow. But as he always said, they didn't build him up, so they couldn't tear him down. As much as they tried.

I can at least respect your views on the issue.
I don't watch any mainstream news or listen to any radio. I browse various news stories from all sides of the aisle with an extremely skeptical eye just to see what manipulation they're up to today, and I usually am rewarded with a great laugh once I get to the end of any given article and see them totally destroy the narrative of their own headline when reading the stuff down toward the bottom of the article that they know almost nobody is ever going to read. (Or they blatantly misrepresent polls or studies which should already be viewed with a highly skeptical eye, to the point of lying about them).
I'm constantly accused by the Roomba and others here of taking marching orders from talking heads I never listen to or watch, or the last 4 years from Trump himself. I find that last part particularly funny since the people accusing me of blindly following Trump know a hell of a lot more about what Trump says on any given day than I ever do (well... at least until they got their wish and he was Cancelled).
That being said, I still don't see the draw. Why would I want to listen to some old windbag telling me stuff I already know? I don't need outside confirmation bias or approval for my thoughts. I reject spending five seconds in anybody else's echo chambers. The cornerstone of my beliefs is rock solid, and that's why I'm not hypocritical in my views while watching most other people shift on their beliefs, sometimes on a daily basis, in order to back their "side".
I respect your opinions on this issue personally, Rap. Even if I don't agree with all of them.
But if you look at JSF and how he behaves when somebody disagrees with him, I have zero respect for his opinions.
I've been dishing out and taking a ton of shit from the extreme Lefties in the RWED for over 4 years now, but the second I disagree with JSF's thoughts on something, he calls me a Libtard.
This is not the first time he's done this. There's at least a dozen instances of JSF exhibiting this behavior over the last 4 years.
Despite the fact that I probably agree with him on 80% or more of any conceivable issue we could ever discuss here, the second I disagree with him he calls me a Libtard. This, in my eyes, is no different than the Nilbot or the Roomba calling me a Nazi or a Russian when I disagree with them.

I believe that you "accept" the term "Dittohead" with your tongue firmly planted in cheek. JSF on the other hand IS Dittohead.

Totally get that. Rush had a unique style which was a mixture ( imo ) of his early radio broadcast background, his personal views, and on-air persona which was specifically designed to needle Leftists and " the Establishment " , as he saw them.
Much of his bombast was done on purpose, like the ruffling of papers, the mocking of certain groups, ( like PETA ) because those were things REAL established on air people simply did NOT do!
Yet Rush did it anyways. And even if you GOT the joke, kinda like Trump does when he goes out of his way to target individuals, it's still too unseemly, too over the top for many.
Rush was , more than pretty much anyone else in the business, focused on his profession. He could have easily hung up the golden EIB microphone and faded off into the sunset after his diagnosis. He stayed on the air, while fighting stage 4 lung cancer. And he did it with grace, class and professionalism , which if far more than the weasels you'll see on TV doing, day in and day out.

I just think the problem is that they all behave like Rush now.
There is no actual NEWS coming from any mainstream outlets anymore.
Just editorialism to sell you shit that you don't need.
It's all trash.

Talk like a Libtard, walk like a Libtard, post like a Libtard, act like a Libtard, quack like a Libtard, why would anybody be faulted for thinking it is a Libtard.
If somebody does not act like a Libtard, I wouldn't need to point out the fact - and also I would not be constantly reminded everytime I look at their Libtard post.
