PREDICTIONS THREAD (v.2)

So, again, not really a prediction but more like an assessment of trends.

When Obama came to power, aside from attending to the bleeding self-inflicted wounds of our banks, he was all hot to trot on the Mideast and Russia's "near abroad":

Taking advantage of the "Arab Spring" (Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain 2011) Obama was quick to recognize the Muslim Brotherhood leader of Egypt (since deposed)

And, with NATO, quick to destroy the (literally) only functioning African nation with a high standard of living (Libya 2011)

Followed by CIA-inspired coup in Ukraine (early 2014)

Followed by direct USA troop involvement in Syria (late 2015)

At the same time, he was talking up the "Asia pivot" (2011) https://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/what-asian-pivot and seemed to be reorganizing our military and economic policy to "contain China", but on a five-year timeline, culminating with the TPP (which was to exclude China)

Towards the end of his second term, he seemed to be making a quick redirection, from the Mideast to China, with the negotiation of the JCPOA (2015)- which (to me) is still a puzzling move.

So my question is: Will Biden* carry on with the "old" anti-Iran Mideast-focused Obama playbook? Carry on with the "new" Asia-focused playbook? Or something else?

BTW, this is a CLASSIC example of fascism. Not "fascism" as WISHY imagines it (NOTE TO WISHY: Hitler was a Nazi, Mussolini was the fascist ... there's a difference).

Before globalibs swoon over this imposition of their ideology on everyone, I hope they realize that they, too, will under the Eye of Sauron.

Again, not a prediction, more of an acknowledgement of trends:

The Domestic Terrorism Law.

It doesn't exist yet, but will come into existence soon.

And like censorship there will be nothing fair, or even Constitutional, about it's implementation. Populists, especially white populists, will be targeted but violence in the name of "wokeism" will be tolerated.

Think of it as the companion to the so-called "Patriot Act".

Just a comment on why I think this is happening: An expanding empire will screw is colonies abroad but keep the people "at home" pacified. A collapsing empire will start screwing over its native population as foreign populations go out of reach.

ETA (edited to add) ... And, of course, once you start screwing your own population over, you need to control them tightly lest they become restless with their new, diminished, circumstances.

So, once the Domestic Terrorism Law (probably named something like Peace And Contentment Intended For You ... i.e. PACIFY) comes into effect, will the Covid Clampdown be dialed back? Or will both measures be used to drive populists into a corner?

Could be both. Because if you're deemed a "domestic terrorist" and your family depends on that government check, taking that away from your family could be one form of punishment.

Sure, it's collective punishment and un-Consitutional, but when has the bought- and-paid-for establishment ever worried about trifles like that?
