Well, I hate being right. As it turns out, Parler is going to be booted from Amazon Cloud Services, and both Google Play Store and Apple refuse to download the Parler app.

BTW, this is a CLASSIC example of fascism. Not "fascism" as WISHY imagines it (NOTE TO WISHY: Hitler was a Nazi, Mussolini was the fascist ... there's a difference).

Not that it matters much, in the scheme of things, since most of the idiots with smartphones today can barely tie their shoes...

But for a guy like me who does his computing on a computer, nothing has changed. Parler.com works just fine. Maybe I'll make an account now. Never used it before.

It's not too difficult to side-load apps onto a phone outside of the Google Play store either, although I can't say if that would be the case with an Apple phone since they make everything for their phones from the ground up and seem to have their devices locked down more than anybody else.


The problem lies in the fact that most people with a phone are too stupid and lazy to ever do any of this and they're just going to do what's easy.

The first draft of anything is shit. :)

There was one published yesterday, in which a “senior FBI official” says “more could have been done” if there had been a “specific law outlawing” domestic terrorism.

“Domestic Terrorism” is clearly where it’s at in early 2021, so we can expect a brand new law regarding it…probably by March, at the latest.

What will “Domestic Terrorism” mean in this law? The answer to that is pretty much always “whatever they want it to mean.”

Certainly, it will include “incitement” and “hate speech”, I would expect “denialism” to make an appearance, and be downright shocked if “spreading misinformation” doesn’t get a mention. Don’t be surprised if “questioning elections” or “bringing democracy into disrepute” is made an outright crime.

It will probably be tied into the Covid “pandemic” in some way, too. After all, what is discouraging people from taking vaccines if not the very definition of “terrorism”, right? It’s possible that even climate change will get a mention as well. They like to slide that into every issue these days.
