COOL! Just as I wanted Mueller to investigate what really happened, I hope whoever will be the investigator of this claim will also thoroughly look into the allegations. If Trump's call was actually illegal (ie not an impeachment, which doesn't rely on criminal charges), then it should be pretty obvious, because there will be an actual criminal statute on the books.

Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday told President Donald Trump that he does not have the authority to block certification of President-elect Joe Biden's win when Congress meets to count electoral votes.
The vice president went on to tell Trump there are outliers saying that the authority exists, but Pence has been told by the White House Counsel's Office he doesn't have that authority. Pence met with the Senate parliamentarian earlier this week to go over his role in the proceedings.
The President disputed the story: "The Vice President and I are in total agreement that the Vice President has the power to act."
Tomorrow we will know for sure if Trump was lying.

He did JO. It was skillfully delivered. It was good and on point. However, the reason he had to give the speech has a direct correlation to four years of his, and most other republicans, being Trumps enabler. He and others shielded Trump. Protected him from the consequences of all his transgressions. Of which there have been many.
As I write this post his goons are carrying out a siege against our Capital and elected officials. This latest effort of his attempted coup is doomed to fail, but this too has a direct correlation with the behavior of the Republicans.
History will show this for what it is and history starts now. Listen to the press cover this. Listen to even republicans denounce this. Their using words like insurrection, siege, domestic terrorist.
