Did a Vice interview last week. During a subsequent email, they sed I wuznt listed az a candidate!

Turnz out I had filed for the comittee, but its a seperate form for being a candidate. So 7532020 wuz there, but no JO 753.

Mailed the form yesterday.

Its odd, kuz I seem to recall seeing my name in a long list uv candidates that included the party affiliation. In fact, you can see my request to chanje from 'Democrat' to 'Independent' in my filingz on the FEC website.

I suspect its sumthing they chanjed az they are restructuring the site.

Man... are you telling me. You're talking to the professional time waster and ex binge drinker here, bud.

Even now, with the free time I've had with the work schedule I had been forcing my employer to abide in order to get me to work more nights, I can't truly say that I've made the most of it. It was much more productive than my last 2 1/2 years unemployed without any doubt, and I wasn't drinking, but there was a lot of wasted time. Silly me thought I had finally figured it out and this would last forever, but now that there will be major changes at work that will almost surely ruin everything for me in that regards, I look back on that wasted time and wish I had done more with it.

My "project" that I've mentioned vaguely here, is really something that could take me the rest of my life and still remain less than perfect. Though it is possible that I could monetize it someday, I still haven't figured out a way to properly go about doing that, and I still haven't reached a large mile-stone that would serve as a working prototype of sorts to pursue any possible avenues of crowd funding for future work.

Had I not wasted a single second in the last year or so, I still might not have gotten there, but I look at what still needs to be done and have regrets that I did not do more.

Yeah. I do too. It was unfair of me to say that. It's really a shame that we do all of our talking in the RWED. You're one of the most interesting people I've ever personally met, online or otherwise.

I know we've said some shitty quips back and forth to each other over the years, but I'm glad that we still get along when all is said and done.

We really should find a better venue to communicate. Preferably one where we aren't virtually forced to talk politics and be surrounded by other people who attack each other all day.

I think you're one of the few people I'd like to show a preview of my work to. I don't know you well enough on a personal level to say that you'd appreciate the content for any personal use of your own, but I know you well enough to know that you would appreciate the meticulous nature of the work that has gone into constructing it and you might have some ideas for me going forward. You're one of the few people I know that are almost undoubtedly smarter than I am, and as a fellow outside of the box thinker and eccentric, you might look at what I'm doing and have some ideas for me that I've never even considered before.

Well JO, your boy Olbermann never had one until a few years ago, having been allergic to them his entire life. He got himself a hypoallergenic breed and fell so deeply in love with the experience that he's made it his life's mission to get everyone to go out and rescue dogs, and he says that he tries to limit himself on spending $1,000 per week doing it himself but he happily fails that budget fairly often.

All I know about the guy is the video series that you kept posting back in the day, and the article about the dogs.

He seems a lot happier now. And a lot more sane.

Huh. sounds interesting.

Altho I would prolly simply go with a better filtration mechanism, and one that can tolerate sanitizing at 175F. KIKI mentioned a filter ... I think it was very thin aluminun oxide ... not a depth filter like most masks, which allows better breathability.

It would be nice if the mask could be physically washed, too. Our N95s, altho sanitized, are looking a bit grimy.

Fit is important. No matter how good the filtration and virus inactivation capacity, if air can sneak in around the mask it doesn't do the wearer much good.

Also ... can you design one that would fit over a beard? Lots of men have beards which make their masks less effective.
