Unlike GWB, Obama was extremely close to the CIA, and preferred to use them- not the military - for his various "regime change" projects.

I don't think that's necessarily true.

Sure, there are other ways to get it, but only around 4% of Americans watch cable news. There are a lot of people who are of above average intelligence that do whatever it takes to stay away from politics. And aside from the covid crap, a lot of the things that have happened in 2020 just don't have much impact on a lot of people's lives. The ones that are still working full time and always have might not have even noticed much of a change outside of everyone wearing masks.

And it's not just the matter of getting somebody to vote for you over the other guy, it's a matter of getting somebody who normally wouldn't vote to go out and vote. The Democrats like to think that they're the only ones that do that (looking at you, Hollywood), but it works the other way as well.

Trump should have crushed Biden in the 1st debate, but for whatever reason he never quite knocked it out of the park. Except for getting Joe to admit that he doesn't support the Green New Deal only seconds after saying why the Green New Deal was great, there was really not any memorable moments.

Cutting off the mics and keeping them from talking over each other is going to force the both of them to think about their answers for 2 minutes instead of just talking over each other and the moderator.

Thinking is something that Joe seems to be having problems with now that he's going senile.

More than five years into his life as a politician, President Donald Trump still has no good answer on why he continues to refuse to release any of his past tax returns. Like, none:

"First of all, I called my accountants -- under audit. I'm going to release them as soon as we can. I want to do it. And it will show how successful, how great this company is.

"But much more importantly than that, people were saying $750. I asked them a week ago. I said, 'What did I pay?'

They said, 'Sir, you pre-paid tens of millions of dollars.' I pre-paid my tax, tens -- over the last number of years -- tens of millions of dollars, I pre-paid.

"Because, at some point they think -- it's an estimate; they think I may have to pay tax, so I already pre-paid it. Nobody told me that."

When Trump's words are written down, he looks stupider than on TV. Probed by moderator Kristen Welker for an exact date when he might release his taxes, Trump added this:

"Excuse me. And it wasn't written, whenever they write this -- they keep talking about $750, which I think is a filing fee. But let me just tell you. I pre-paid millions and millions of dollars in taxes, number one."

Huh? If you're confused, that's the point. Trump is trying to just throw out a bunch of terms -- "filing fee!" "statutory!" "pre-paid!" -- in hopes of muddying the waters enough that you will forget this central question: In the years 2016 and 2017, was the extent of your tax payment to the IRS $750?

That's it. That's the question that Trump has never been able to answer or, maybe more accurately, has never been willing to answer. He didn't do in Thursday night. And he certainly isn't going to answer it before November 3.
