Nah. Pretty sure we'll get right back to it.
Just saying that it's kind of nice. Reminds me of the old days...

You need a place to start. You got yer diet better, now start by getting your brain better. Use the next months.
Start by acknowledging reality. Every day, in every way. Stop running from it by downplaying everything.
Anxiety is there to help decide appropriate threat levels. It's STRESS you need to stop.
Maybe find a hobby to read about online, learn something?? I read at least 4 medical articles all the way through every single day.
LEARN... SOMETHING.
May I suggest Psychology??
I'm always learning something. A great deal of what I learn is just how to do things that most people pay somebody to do. It's great for living off of nothing, but usually doesn't translate very well into making a good buck either. Unfortunately, even though I've had two jobs in my life where I made a good deal of money, the "skills" I learned there really don't do anything for me because they were pretty proprietary to pretty niche markets that in many cases don't even require human interaction to get done all these years after the jobs were shipped to India.
I can't ever see myself going back to college. I hate college. I dropped out four times.
I know I waste a lot of time that I could spend doing better things. Less now certainly than when I was living only to get drunk. But there's something about paying somebody to force me to learn things that I know have no real world value that's the problem.
Psychology itself would probably be very interesting, but it's all the other garbage they force you to learn that I can't sit through.
If I'm interested in something, I absorb the information like a sponge. If I'm not, I can't sit for 5 minutes in front of it without taking a smoke break or finding something else to keep my mind off of it.

EVERYBODY gets bored with shit. Sticking to something, EVEN THOUGH IT'S BORING....it the measure of how much an adult you are. I get you have A.D.D., but FOUR TIMES??
Your life would be 1000% different if you had access to mental health care and pills that work. I find that sad that you can't understand what it would change for you.
Hubby was talking to someone at work 10 years ago about his problems focusing and they handed him a prescription pill that he said felt like a super power had been activated. He said everything made so much more sense. I can't imagine these last 10 years without him on it.

Turns out being so smart that I never once had to take homework home and work on it in 12 whole years doesn't prepare you very well for what comes after that.

When I think of coronavirus, The Plague by Albert Camus, an existentialist novel, comes to mind.

And, indeed, as he listened to the cries of joy rising from the town, Rieux remembered that such joy is always imperiled. He knew what those jubilant crowds did not know but could have learned from books: that the plague bacillus never dies or disappears for good; that it can lie dormant for years and years in furniture and linen-chests; that it bides its time in bedrooms, cellars, trunks, and bookshelves; and that perhaps the day would come when, for the bane and the enlightening of men, it would rouse up its rats again and send them forth to die in a happy city.

Dear Vice President Pence: Please Use the 25th Amendment to Remove Trump and Save Us From the Coronavirus
You know this. On Friday, you were standing next to the president in the White House briefing room when NBC correspondent Peter Alexander asked him what he had to say to Americans who “are scared right now” because of the coronavirus pandemic. Trump responded with inexplicable rage, denouncing Alexander as a “terrible reporter” for asking a “nasty” question, and then mocking the owners of NBC — telecom giant Comcast — as “Con-cast.”
It was an insane response to the simplest of simple questions, but don’t take my word for it. “These are psychiatric symptoms, not simply boorish behaviors,” tweeted John Talmadge, clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. “Trump is mentally ill, cognitively compromised, brain impaired. He can’t even recognize a softball tossed his way.”
But you can, Mr. Vice President. You later went up to the podium and answered Alexander’s question: “I would say, ‘Do not be afraid to be vigilant.’” You seem to be able to do the job of president that Donald Trump is manifestly unable to do.

Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. Then there was the Population Bomb. We would all die because there was gonna be 25 billion people on Earth by the year 2020 with not enough food for them all. Then there was talk of Armageddon coming at any moment and we had to be good Christians because Jehovah would destroy the wicked. Then there was the Vietnam War, which had to be won or else the Commies would conquer America, making us slaves. Then there was wave after wave of panic over the rising murder rate and the only solution was own a gun and jail millions of "criminals". So many worries, so little real purpose/meaning. It is always something and there are certain Americans that cannot handle the stress and will act both stupid and crazy until they die of their own inanity, never understanding they did it to themselves. The World is too much for them . . . Maybe they need a philosopher? Or Fuhrer? Or a psychologist? Or Jesus?

I think you might be projecting.
My life has changed very little while this began and continues on.
Once the weather turns, I have plenty of work to do on my house, no job to keep me from it, and I'll be getting plenty of sun. Just like I did last summer, and with stimulus checks I hardly even need because I'm a good shepherd of my money.
Spring won't fix what's changed in your life though. Everything around you is different now. You're going to be the guy with a lot of free time who has no clue what to do and not do with it.
Here's a little tip from the wise... Don't fill that hole with alcohol.
There's plenty of other stuff to fill it with.

Oh cool. I guess it takes a global pandemic and one step away from Martial Law being enforced to get you to stop wasting time here.
It certainly seems to have at least abated the symptoms of your terminal case of TDS in the short term, anyhow.
I'll let you get to it then. Please, don't let me stop you.

Trump team failed to follow NSC’s pandemic playbook
The Trump administration, state officials and even individual hospital workers are now racing against each other to get the necessary masks, gloves and other safety equipment to fight coronavirus — a scramble that hospitals and doctors say has come too late and left them at risk. But according to a previously unrevealed White House playbook, the government should’ve begun a federal-wide effort to procure that personal protective equipment at least two months ago.

New Orleans would have canceled Mardi Gras if feds had taken coronavirus more seriously, Mayor says
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell appeared on CNN Thursday afternoon saying if she had more information from the federal government, she would have pulled the plug on carnival season.
“When it's not taken seriously at the federal level it's very difficult to transcend down to the local level in making these decisions,” Cantrell said. “In hindsight, if we were given proper direction, we would not have had Mardi Gras and I would have been the leader to cancel it.”

China is using digital coupons to entice people to get shopping again
In February, China’s car sales plunged 79% from a year earlier, the biggest-ever monthly decline. In January and February, sales at restaurants contracted by 43.1% from a year ago. Chinese officials have for years pinpointed consumption as the most important driver for economic growth, as the country continues to try to shift away from an export- and infrastructure-driven economy. Consumer spending made up about 58% of the country’s GDP growth in 2019, compared with 52% in 2011. (Consumer spending comprises 70% of US GDP.

China has fewer new coronavirus infections, starts posting tally of symptom-free cases
Almost all of Tuesday’s 36 new cases involved arrivals from overseas, the National Health Commission said, down from 48 a day earlier, and taking total infections to 81,554.
But that figure excludes 130 new sufferers of the highly contagious disease who do not show symptoms, statistics from the health authority showed.
Some other countries include cases that test positive for the virus but display no symptoms in the tally of confirmed cases, in line with advice from the World Health Organization.
One death on Monday and seven deaths from the virus were reported on Tuesday.
