Yanno, it boggles my mind that lower-level CDC minions didn't take the initiative to resolve the testing issue. Being a loer-level minion myself, it was up to my team to create tests that new - and sometimes urgent progams - required. At times we created these tests before the upper-ups even knew they needed them. I guess the staff at CDC feel micromanaged bc nobody felt empowered to take the bull by the horns, so to speak, and fix the fuckup.

It's a partial answer to the topic of testing that I've been harping about for weeks. I'd read bits and pieces here and there, but no overall explanation.

I'll only add the detail that the problem was a weak false positive on the negative control (probably on the third probe), due to bad 'reagents'.

The data if far too scattershot and w/o context to provide an answer. LA County has 10+million. The last increase was about 412. The previous increase before that was over 600. Somewhere in-between, LA County decided to narrow the criteria for testing. There is no way to calculate a doubling-time from the data presented.

That's why I started posting deaths as well. I think it'll be the most reliable indicator of - at least - which way this is going, even though the number is weeks after the fact.

Not that someone died but that they died at home, without any treatment.

OMG! THEY WEREN'T EVEN SICK! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE ALONE AT HOME, LIKE TOMORROW PROBABLY!!!

Really?? Zerohedge? Agitate much? That tactic, hmmm... sounds familiar to me... oh, right!

And CC, what is your obssession with RUSSIA!??? Of all of the times to be obssessing about a foreign "enemy", isn't this the least relevant, when we have an enemy here at home? I mean, if you really want to "stick it" to Russia, wouldn't that mean mounting a credible response to the virus and getting our economy (such as it is) back on track, hopefully better than before?

Putting you on "ignore" again.

This is just more fearmongering from the Legacy Media, this time to terrorize all the young people who don't give a shit what the government tells them to do.

They said it was "coronavirus-related". That could literally mean anything.

I blame sloppy reporting. We'd have to see the death certificate. But when tracking infections and deaths, they can't add a SARS-COV-2 death to the stats unless death really was caused by the virus. And that they can track well, by running the virus tests, weighing and examining the lungs (to look for fluid in the lungs instead of air), examining the lungs to look for pneumonia (pus due to infection) and inflammation (beefy red color and swollen), and looking for signs of heart failure (heart couldn't either squeeze hard enough or it couldn't relax enough to fill well) or asystole (heart stopped beating).

MUSHY

Since Monday, October 30, 2017 10:46:39 AM, you've posted 172 posts with 'Russia' in the title, and started 16 of 40 threads (as compared to Signy's 3 threads during that time).

The only person who posted more into 'Russia' threads during that time was THUGGER, but you started by far the most threads of anyone.

Why are you so FIXATED on Russia?

I don't know why CC is so fixated on Russia, but I will repeat that I think Russia is doing what WE should be doing: Becoming as self sufficient as possible. We need to stop depending on long supply lines, "just in time" logistics, and mountains of debt to make our economy go.

Long supply lines and reduced inventory are subject to all kinds of natural disasters and geopolitical storms, and running continuing and ever accelerating debt makes you dependent on your creditors. I have to say "pandemic" hadn't crossed my mind as one of those potential disasters but, yanno, you can always count on SOMETHING bad happening.

Right now we can't make masks, we can't make respirators, and we probably can't make ANY of the quinine-based drugs. That leaves us kind of hosed, doesn't it?

Yes. This.

Especially... "they can't add a SARS-COV-2 death to the stats unless death really was caused by the virus."

They certainly can't. But as all three of us know full well, the Legacy Media can and will frame a narrative and imply heavily that the death was caused by it.

Do you think your average low IQ news consumer even thinks about this when they read that?

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Re this: do you remember the last time you heard someone say "if something is worth doing, it's worth doing well." ?

Neither do I.

Somewhere along the way the country's values got completely scrambled. Instead of doing what's prudent and constructive, and doing that well, it got to be all about "Show me the money.". Making the biggest pile of dough by any means necessary.

I just get irritated by the 'news'. I watch it, and read it, because I want to know where we're being herded, but it makes me bug nuts as to what passes for facts, or news, for that matter.
