So I followed up on the tape just to make sure it wasn't some sort of pro-Trump construct, and indeed, CNN does reference the tape and the date (2018) so the story checks out so far.

Having watched the so-called testimony, I didn't find ONE single witness who said "Trump told me ..." he wanted a quid pro quo. They testified they 'came to the understanding' somehow, or they testified they were told that somebody-not-Trump said, or they testified they thought maybe Giuliani was rumored to have said, or they they testified they heard that somebody heard ...

All that testimony amounted to one big game of telephone. And I was shocked at how many people were running around meeting with other people who met with other people who claimed that other people had told other people ... when all this could have been cleared up with one conference call asking ... what did TRUMP tell YOU?

Because Trump didn't tell anybody anything about Ukraine except when he told Sondland "I WANT NOTHING! I WANT NOTHING! I WANT NO QUID PRO QUO! TELL PRESIDENT ZELENSKY TO DO THE RIGHT THING! I want Zelensky to do the right thing. I want him to do what he ran on which is to deal with corruption."

That is literally the only Trump quote in the entire testimony.

Everything else is speculation, opinion, and second- and third-hand gossip.

President Trump escalated his attacks on Rep. Adam B. Schiff on Sunday, issuing what appears to be a veiled threat against the California Democrat one day before Trump’s team is expected to deliver the crux of its defense in the third presidential impeachment trial in U.S. history.

Yanno, Bolt-on himself hasn't confirmed that that's in his book. Now, this supposed 'quote' from the NYTimes looks like a complete fake. Bolt-on himself admitted the only people to have a copy of the transcript is the NSC, which is reviewing it for security reasons. So I suspect the NYTimes isn't above fabricating quotes and sources (something they've done in the past) simply to pressure Congress to get testimony from Bolt-on. It's lying in the interest of purely partisan politics, which, if you haven't noticed by now, the NYTimes is fully invested in.

Is sum - no quote, no confirmation, no testimony, no oath. We just have to take the NYTimes word on it. And trust their integrity ....

I mean, what am I to make of the fact that when challenged to come up with EYEWITNESS testimony, you yourself avoid all of the previous "witnesses" and spin your brain around to latch onto this latest, unproven allegation?

The classic tax scam is to claim your business lost money when it really made money. The tax scammer keeps all the unreported profit and, as a bonus, gets a tax refund by reporting a loss to the IRS. Another tax scam is to report that real estate is worth very little, at least when Trump is calculating the taxes owed, but selling the real estate at 10 times more than that. That makes the tax calculation off by a factor of 10. Trump ends up with low taxes and high return on his investment by creatively lying his head off. In Trump's case, simply tell the same lies over and over again and the tax authority won't know Trump is lying unless the authority takes control of the company and runs it without Trump's interference.

Trump is a tax cheat and he is hiding his tax returns so it can't be proved. He has lost 6 court cases about those tax returns, but he went to the Supreme Court to keep those tax returns a secret a little bit longer, perhaps until after the election. He promised before the previous election to make those tax returns available to the public, then he delayed until after the IRS audit was done. The audit has been done 4 years and still Trump keeps his tax returns a secret. He is a tax cheater.

Literally every bad decision the government has made my entire life is working with amounts of money that are staggering. My income last year was right around the personal exemption amount, and once I get my tax return I will break even with were I was at financially in February of 2019. That includes paying for dentures and the operation, several thousand dollars spent on my house, all of my food, monthly bills, property taxes, car insurance, gas, a new shop vac, and most of the stuff I use on a daily basis is stocked up for at least a year (paper towels, toilet paper, mouthwash, toothpaste, contact solution, etc.). I also just renewed my VOIP for 5 years when it wasn't going to be up for another two because it was on sale and don't have to worry about a phone bill until mid-year 2027. I just recently talked about how I got my internet bill down to $20 per month for the next year too. So my phone, TV and internet will be just a little over $20 per month.

Meanwhile, I just talked to one of my friends last night who was calling to see how I was doing and we somehow got on the subject and said that I would literally freak if he told me what his monthly bills were. He then went on to tell me that they were over $6,000, and I tried to stifle a laugh and tell him that's what mine are for an entire year.

All that being said. Show me one single Democrat up on that stage that is A) not rich, and B) good with money.

Second is just as easy as Nilbog is. They're essentially the same malignant personality who have somehow tricked themselves into thinking that they're decent people.

The only difference with Second is that when he makes personal attacks, especially about my own personal situations that I willingly talk about in the other thread (which he apparently avidly reads, but doesn't engage in), he's punching down and he really looks like an asshole. At least Nilbog is in a shitty situation herself, so it doesn't come off half as bad... more of a lateral punch, if you will.

What second doesn't get is that I've improved myself for 3 straight years now, and it has nothing at all to do with who the president is. Getting my dentures is a vast improvement on my old situation that I was living with.

I can't turn back time and do things differently. I need to adapt to my new normal and make decisions for the future based off of where I left myself with poor choices I made before. I feel good about where I'm at. Second isn't going to shame me for anything. When you hit bottom, the only way to go is up. And since my sobriety that has been the constant trajectory.

So here I am... giving a toothless grin to the man while he punches down.
