Possibly Bolton won't, either, so the Republican Senators will make a wide variety of empty/dishonest/bogus/silly arguments that Bolton shouldn't testify. Maybe Bolton will "exonerate" Trump, but the GOP Senators are more concerned that he will burn Trump.

News Story: John Bolton is ready to testify. Senate Republicans aren’t ready to hear him. Mitch McConnell does not want to hear from someone who knows what Trump did with Ukraine.
Senate Democrats greeted the news as a new pressure point on their Republican colleagues, who have so far been pointedly uninterested in hearing from new witnesses against Trump. Bolton, a key figure in the Ukraine scandal whose testimony has not been taken, finally decided that he just needed someone to serve him a subpoena and he’d show up for the trial. How could Senate Republicans refuse to call him as a witness now, as Democrats have been demanding, when he’s all warmed up and ready to go? Do they not want to get to the bottom of it? But if there are four Republican senators willing to join with Democrats to summon additional witnesses and documents for the (eventual) trial, they did a good job of hiding it upon returning to the Capitol on Monday afternoon.
A crucial witness has made himself available—and has done it before the House hands over the impeachment articles. The Senate Republicans will have a hard time explaining why they don’t want to hear from him.

And BTW... the fact that Bolton wasn't willing to testify in the Dem lead house but is now willing to testify in the GOP lead senate.... well...
I would consider that a big red flag if I was hoping that he had anything to say that Democrats are hoping he would.
Especially worrying is the fact that Bolton only came out to say he would testify after the recent Iran shenanigans.
Bolton loves war. He loves it so much it's a sexual fetish for him. He hasn't been as sexually satisfied as he was after the drone strike in Iran since Trump was elected.
Look at his mustache. It's a spitting image of a mushroom cloud.
Bolton is a terrible, terrible man, and a poster child for the evil in humanity. Anybody willing to hear what that man says and take him seriously because of their agenda should be ashamed of themselves.

With the creation of a new “mini-nuke” warhead, the US is making nuclear war all the more probable. This nuke was Trump's brainstorm, NOT Bolton's.
