Thing Putin doesn't know and can't wrap his tiny chick pea sized brain around is that Americans are always in an agitated state.
I think some Fux News people are able to convince themselves that it's been done in the past or that's just how sausage has been made by US politicians for hundreds of years, so what's all the whining about? Sort of, but not really - big difference. It's ok to hold back weapons if the quo is something of value to the entire US population, but not for personal gain. THAT is abuse of power, abuse of the office. And not cooperating with congress is just nuts.
I like to ask those that think this is a witch hunt how they would have responded if Hillary had done the same thing - threatened to withhold US tax funded weapons from another nation unless they helped her get a second term. How would they feel about that?

There is already overwhelming evidence on video showing the Republicans have no interest in doing their sworn duties. They aren't even pretending to honor the process demanded in the constitution; in the form of a proper senate hearing.
I say the democrats vote to impeach. However, they should not vote to send it to the senate yet. This will give them some bargaining strength. It will also show the country they are going to fight for what's right by insisting the Republicans honor our laws.
The evidence is overwhelming the Republicans are stonewalling the facts. Engaged in obstructive parliamentary debate. This will help sway independents.

One thing that we agree on is that it should be dragged out.
Why do you think that Democrats sitting on it now would give them any sort of bargaining power?
From where I'm sitting, Pelosi wants to pass it through the house before any more Democrats get cold feet and either defect or abstain from voting.
The RCP aggregate for a the last few days for the first time actually shows more people against impeachment than for it.
I believe that the against ratio is much higher in favor of Trump than the polls suggest, but using the polling aggregate strictly to gauge trends over time, this isn't a good look for Democrats two days before the vote.
There won't be anything new that makes it worse for Trump if they were to drag it out, and though his approval/disapproval rating has remained entirely static during this whole process, the support for/against impeachment has swung in Trump's favor.
If the house were to drag it out, it would likely swing even further in his favor before a vote.
Best case scenario for Democrats is to vote for impeachment now, watch the Senate make a huge mistake and rush through a vote against it, and then Democrats can spend the next 5 years crying about that like they do about the Electoral College.

And yet, in November of 2019 there is zero evidence of that at all.
Hence why they're going after a completely unrelated Ukraine thing which they've blown absurdly out of proportion that could possibly hurt the Bidens far more than it will ever hurt Trump. It can't possibly do any more damage to Trump than it already has. But if the Republicans surprise everybody and drag this out like they should in the Senate it might mean the end of Biden's political career.
Trump doesn't care if he gets impeached. It will only fire up his base and get him re-elected.
Honestly, the fact that he doesn't care at all about being impeached is a far worse offense than probably anything else he's ever done or said as president. In that regard, he's no better than you or the clowns you associate with that don't care about the precedent you're setting for future leaders of our country, including and not limited to blatant partisan hackery and bending knee to an outrage mob.
