All anyone knows is that she must have made a magical cup of coffee back in the day.

Or she gives really good blowjobs.

It's probably the blowjobs.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

While some rightly rail against the #MeToo movement, there are women who will willingly and happily step in and ' do what it takes ' to advance in their careers.

Kamala Harris is a prime example. She ' dated ' her way into her DA job and that started her on her way to Senator, and now Presidential candidate, and that's not even gossip. That literally is how she got her start.

I'm not saying for sure that she did that though.

Best case scenario is that she was in the right place at the right time and she's filling a quota. I can't see any other reason why she got the job, other than she was close to Lucas for a very long time.

With all of the money she's lost, and the recent admission to not knowing or understanding her multi-billion dollar product at all (or downright lying to everyone about it), what amazes me is that she's still employed.

Get her back on coffee duty and put somebody who can make good movies in charge and then maybe you can salvage the franchise.

I just don't understand how you can destroy Star Wars, even on accident, unless that was your plan going into it in the first place.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Point is, KK is the dingbat who promoted ' The Force is Female ' garbage, shoved wahmen first into the franchise and the claimed she lacked source material as an excuse for why the sequels sucked so hard.

So if it makes anyone feel better about spreading rumors that she whored her way into her position, that's fine by me. Changes nothing. She still is to blame for this flaming garbage heap. But she wasn't alone, so that can't be overlooked either.

My only point by backpedaling there is that as much as I think she's a whore, it probably could have gone without saying. Unless actual videos come out of her blowing Bob Iger, all that unfounded rhetoric leads to is legitimate ammo for the SJW idiots to use in their own delusional arguments.

It really wasn't necessary for me to say it. She's already doing a fine job of destroying her reputation on her own, and so is anybody that is keeping her in that position because of their agenda. The longer that goes on, the worse that gets for everybody involved. Just take a step back and watch it happen.

BTW... what do you think about the Mandalorian? I don't mean to ask if you've seen it and what your opinions are of it. I mean SHOULD people see it, given that it seems to be universally praised?

My position is that they shouldn't, so long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge.

I honestly don't care if it's the best thing to come out of Star Wars since the original trilogy. She doesn't deserve any good reviews for anything that has happened under her watch, and there's no way that anything created by Disney Star Wars deserves more seasons than Firefly got.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

IDK. I'm not subscribing to D+ , so I don't watch. But it's a good question. I hear from those who still WANT Star Wars to endure that the Mandalorian is generally a solid show so far. Surprisingly so. I get what you're saying, and I see both sides.

There's a part of me that thinks pumping up the good stuff, like Mandalorian and possibly Rogue One, sends a message to the Mouse that there's a path for them to take, and it's clear for all to see.

But there's also a part of me that recognizes the simple truth - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT STAR WARS ! They really don't. KK lying about there not being any source material, like freaking Harry Potter, and those inside Disney who post pics of them drinking out of ' Fanboy tears ' mugs, the whole ' The Force is Female ' … all of that garbage is them going out of their way to slap die hard fans, life long supporters of a franchise to just go screw off and that it's THEIR story now.

I guess , in the end, we must make our own choices. I won't watch The Mandalorian because I won't be subscribing to D+. Just as I've abandoned Netflix.

Yeah... I also realize that it's very easy for me to say that since I hardly watch any movies or TV shows at all these days. I mean, there are some really good shows I used to watch that probably have 2 or 3 additional seasons attached by now that I never went back to, so the me having any desire to see the Mandalorian in a perfect world where all the new Star Wars stuff was better than the original trilogy isn't very likely.

People want to love Star Wars. Even if it breaks their heart again and again and again, they still want to give it another chance.

Maybe I'm wrong. I've been told as much directly from a content creator when I ragged on them for caving and giving in and loving the Mandalorian. Their idea is that the fans need to control Star Wars and not destroy it. Punish them when they behave badly, then give them a cookie when they do the right thing.

I just wish everybody would stop lying about everything. Every single day. It's exhausting.

Kathleen Kennedy could just come out and say "I'm sorry. I fucked up. I'm listening. What do you want?"

That's all she'd have to do. I bet goodwill toward Star Wars, Disney and even Kennedy herself would do a complete 180.

Bring George in on it. Don't give him the reins... I think Star Wars got to his head and he didn't do a good job with the prequel trilogy because he had nobody there to tell him that some of his ideas weren't good. But have him collaborate on things.

Consider re-visiting the extended universe and possibly restoring it to cannon. If some of the ideas presented are a bit too "old think", that's okay. It's not as if Hollywood doesn't change things from their original media when they bring it to the screen with great success already (see: Marvel Universe).

I'll be the first to admit that the original trilogy was a little strange. This entire universe with hundreds or even thousands of alien species and Princess Leia is the only female in the universe or something? By all means, we can afford to be much more inclusive than that. But there's no need to go full swing the other way with it and make any future white male in the franchise an evil character while killing off all the old ones. Or making the "bad guys" a representation of Donald Trump and Russia (which the writers said was exactly what they did).

But you know what the original movie had that the Disney ones do not?

Love. R

KK is a woman who proudly wears a shirt saying " The Force is Female ". Her supporters gleefully take pics of themselves w/ ' fanboy tears ' mugs, while voice actors like Freddie Prinze ( Mr Buffy ) go on profanity filled rants against fans who disagree w/ these new movies and claims these movies are for children, " They're not made for you, brah ! ".

These people aren't sorry. Don't expect them to apologize for anything, because they don't see that they've done anything wrong.

In their eyes, the fans who have been invested w/ the 40 yrs of Star Wars ARE THE PROBLEM , not themselves.

Same goes for the current batch of Dr. Who repurposers. They aren't writers or directors, they're job is to tear down what was already established and to remake it in their vision.

It's a freaking Maoist culture, to be real. Erase history and remake it in a manner of your own liking. Attack anyone who disagrees.

The Star Wars fandom have adopted a new term for the latest trilogy. It's no longer Star Wars under Disney, but now referred to as the Disney Trilogy aka D.T.

I like it. I'll be using that from now on as well.

Speaking of the difference between Lucas and the DT movies...
