Oooh... $29 Million domestically on a $185 Million budget. With the near $80 Million internationally, they just barely eeked out $100 Million on opening weekend. With marketing budgets included, it's said that it needs to make close to $500 Million to break even.

It baffles the mind that Tim Miller went off so hard against die hard fans and boasted how 'woke' this film was gonna be.
Dude, the public and the fandom PAY YOUR SALARY. If not yours directly, those who work for you... I suspect they all got paid but taking a hit to the tune of several 100 million dollars. High price to pay for signaling your virtue, pal.
Stop forcing agendas into movies. Stick to good story telling and everyone wins.

Unfortunately this flopped at the box office. So, it will be rerererebooted again. This movie will not be part of the timeline in the next movie. So, there's no point in seeing it. This franchise needs a major overhaul if it's going to be successful. They need to give the audience a reason to believe that they're serious "this time". The only way I see that happening is if they take the big risk of filming multiple movies at once and releasing them in short succession. Good luck Terminator. If you can ever get the magic of T2 back then I'll come back. For now we're still on a break.

It's kind of sad too. I saw the Red Letter Media review for it today, which is always spoilery, so only watch them if you don't care about the movie.
Mike kind of liked a lot of it. Still only gave it a C+/B- rating despite its many flaws. Jay doesn't recommend it.
Neither of them were aware of the Woke factor. They watch a ton of movies, but they seem to go out of their way to ignore as much of that shit as possible before seeing a movie. Either they're getting extremely good at that, or the woke factor wasn't pushed as much as it had been for previous movies that have flopped, because they both said that they didn't notice any Ghostbusters 2016 levels of woke marketing for this.
They're both big fans of Makenzie what's her name who played the LGBT2000, and said that she did a teriffic job, although the John Connor female replacement is completely forgettable in this role. Both of their biggest grips of the movie was bringing back Linda Hamilton and Arnold.
Jay says that unlike a lot of the recent woke movies, there was actually a reason for Makenzie's character to be doing all sorts of superhero type moves and not just because "muh vagina", yet at the same time she did have weaknesses and wasn't invincible and that vulnerability actually made you relate to and care about what was happening. But the movie was ruined for him when you first see 96 year old Linda Hamilton come out with a giant gun and start blowing shit up. I guess there's a part where Linda's shoulder gets dislocated and LGBT2000 puts it back in, and Mike jokes that she probably would have broken her shoulder putting it back in because old people's bones break a lot easier.
There were also something like 14 writing credits to this movie. A movie that minus the Linda and Arnold characters would have just been a remake of T2 and didn't need 14 people writing it. They said that you cold feel that the director wasn't allowed to just do his thing and had a dozen other people telling him what they needed to add to the movie.

I don't think so, the next generation isn't interested in this and STAR WARS. All good things come to an end, in the case of this and STAR WARS, good riddance. It's amazing, every new generation discovers and loves The Three Stooges, the only special effects they had was a box that made funny noises.

RedLetterMedia also brought this point up.
Back in the 80's and 90's it was a great idea for AI to create human-like robots to go back in time and duke it out. In 2019 it seems rather quaint. Why not just come up with a biological agent that would eliminate everyone and bring that back in time with you and do it without anyone being the wiser?
They went on to do a funny bit about how one would go about taking care of a mice problem in their house. Would you construct a tiny army of robot mice and then outfit them with fur so they trick the mice, or would you just put out some cheap poison to get the job done?
Terminator and T2 were great. The world could have just as easily done without any of the sequels beyond that, and it wouldn't be a sadder place if there weren't any more ever made.
Same goes for Star Wars and Ghostbusters and anything else you can think of.
Why not make some new stories? Or less movies in general, so they're not rushed in and out like they are these days.

Male characters must be gender switched, killed off and replaced, and or made to be the subservient witless side kicks or buffoons which are the cause of most if not all of the problems in a story.
Hollywood and the elites think this is somehow ' empowering ' women, instead of going the Ripley , Wonder Woman, Beatrix Kiddo, Sarah Connor rout, where female characters actually have some sort of origins story, a struggle they overcome and grow … but nope. Such things are deemed as ' mansplaining ', and the Pound Me Too gals aren't having any of it.
