Wow.
I heard another song that's been out for years now for the first time last night at work.
I won't get all hypberbolic and say that it's my favorite song of all time or anything. But right now listening it to the first time and really hearing the words while posting this, it's my favorite song today.

Hope you all like it too. What a great jam.

It was killing me what song this reminded me of, but I finally figured it out.
It was my boy Kenny Loggins.
Much slower tempo on this jam, but there's quite a similarity between the chorus of both songs. I'm not musically educated enough to say what exactly that's called, but I definitely hear it somewhere in there.
I guess you could say that it wouldn't be hard to sing either chorus over either song if you just had the backing tracks... whatever that's called. :)
Was going to say I liked I Wish I Knew You better, but now that I'm listening to Meet Me Half Way again, that's a tough call. Hard to deny the greatness of The Loggins.
DANGER ZONE!
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Going through all those old files and CD's I'm coming up with some great music I haven't heard in years. I hardly even listen to music anymore. I need to change that.
Here's a few sticking in my craw after giving them a listen.

Been hearing this song a few times a day while working on the porch.
Can't really relate to it now that I see the lyrics, but I love how it sounds. It's really grown on me.

Heard another two songs on the radio while working today that I had to do a little digging to find out the names and I wanted to post them here so I didn't forget them.
I didn't even realize that one of them were by Cage the Elephant, the same group of the song that I put in the last post. I can't even think of the last time that I liked more than one song from a band. Maybe all the way back when The Shins put out their debut album?
I really like these two songs. Was always great when they came on while I was working this fall...

Kind of funny...
I looked up the lyrics of Might be Right, and I think I might be the winner of Most Misheard Lyrics of all time.
Real lyrics:
And I always fall, a little short in front of you
Yeah I always fall, a little short in front of, a little short in front of you.
What I heard:
And I'm always for, a little schadenfreude.
Yeah I'm always for, a little shadenfre, a little schadenfreude. (Both times with a little twist on the end of the word to make it fit and still sound good).
Hmmmmm...
Maybe I am. I certainly get a lot of enjoyment watching Trump drive people nuts.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Another good one I heard today that I want to add to my playlist so I'm putting it here so I remember what it was.

This is one of the songs I've been hearing on the radio a lot while working in the garage. Something about it just sunk its hooks into me. It wasn't until today that I really listened to the words outside of the chorus and it's really sad.
Made me think of you and your Blair, Brenda.
Maybe it doesn't really apply, but I'm always putting songs to people that I know.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Hey Jack,
I can see after listening to it why you thought of me and Blair. As even I thought it applied to us in certain ways.
Truth be told he hated coffee but he knew I liked it.

I love being able to do all this work with music again. So nice to have all my stuff organized so I could do that. I've had the music and the devices for years now, but who the hell knew where they were before I got rid of 20,000 lbs of stuff I didn't need?
Heard a real jam in my collection I haven't heard in a long time and it made me think of you and Blair again.
I'm sure you know it. You might not have heard it for a long time either though.
Love that song.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Good song but I don't know it. I can see again why you thought of Blair and I.
Blair always thought of "No One" by Alicia Keys as "Our Song".

I figured everybody heard that song by Janet. There was a time where you couldn't escape it.
No One is a good one. Alicia has a great voice.
