Here's a fact from the White House:
TRUMP: "The other thing, there's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me."

Quote:Is this supposed to be some sort of response to my post? If so it gets an epic fail because
I've disagreed with a lot of stuff Trump has done, or wants to do. I even tried to engage you all in discussing something other than BULLLSHIT and empty VIRTUE SIGNALLING in quite a number of those!
Our economy and finances? Hello?
War? Oh that's right, you think discussing whether we should kill a million more people is pointless!
Reindustrialization?
The environment? Global climate shift?
There's lots to talk about, and a lot of areas to disagree with Trump!
But ... you couldn't be bothered.

I've been around since the say of Nixon-voting Republicans ...-SEONDHAND
a) I'm not a Republican SECONDRATE, as you know
b) SECONDHAND is once again failing to use the QUOTE function, making it difficult to dig SECONDHAND's opiniom from someone else's.
Quote:
Republicans turned on Nixon. Here’s why they won’t turn on Trump: as was NOT the case in 1974, Republicans now have counterfactual media that allows or compels them to ignore blatant lawbreaking.
Oh yes, thank you for reminding me about another counterfactual "point" that the M$M brought up ... it breathlessly opined that Trump placing the record of the call on a super-secret server demonstrated "knowledge of guilt" but failed to make the comparison to Hillary bleach-bitting 33,000 emails.
Hello??
Quote:WHAT "criminality"? You failed to make your "case" on every single point, and yet you have this idee fixe (or this propagnada talking point) that Trump somehow broke the law.
Republicans haven’t always responded to the clear criminality of a Republican president
WHAT DID HE DO? Did he threaten Ukrainian head of state? Offer a quid pro quo? Pressure Australia? Do any of the half-dozen things that the CIA "whistlblower" (ie spy/ mole) fabricated and that the M$M turned into a gargantuan crappuccino?
Quote:THERE WAS NO THREAT. If this is what you're basing your outrage on, son, take the tinfoil off your head and climb down from your soapbox.
A straightforward reading of U.S. law makes clear that Trump’s threat

Jeezus.
This consistent lying by the CIA, M$M, and Congressional Democrats should tell you something, but of course, it doesn't. You fail to see the big picture, and you believe the lies.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that "ask".
But if you think that's wrong, then MI6 investigating Trump for Clinton DURING AN ACTIVE CAMPAIGN was also wrong.
Like other ideologically-possessed people [of both sides], you fail to apply your own standards to yourself.
And how about foreign intelligence setting traps (dangles) for a political rival, or foreign intelligence fabricating "evidence" to smear a political rival, or threatening a foreign government in some way to get a less-than-tranparent outcome?
Bad, right?
BTW, you failed to notice that this phone conversation happened WELL BEFORE Biden tossed his hat into the ring, so you can't even say that Trump was trying to ruin his campaign, because Biden had none.
You people are idiots. Why don't you come up with a REAL criticism of Trump? Why do you rely on made-up stuff? It's not like there aren't policy issues to criticize!
Yanno, I was going to write Tulsi Gabbard in for President, but watching the CIA, the M$M, Congressional Democrats and you, my friends, endlessly spewing lies about Trump makes me want to vote for him, just to spite you.

Of course you don't - you're a hardcore Trumper trying to get us to think you are "open."
I'm not ok with presidents asking foreign leaders to dig up dirt on their rivals. Pretty sure it's a no-no constitutionally as well - we'll see.

Wrong of course. I will never understand how you can take such pride in being so wrong.
The phone call was July 25th, Biden declared in April.

Wow, really?? I would never have guessed! *snort* We knew all along you were. The Gabbard thing was another deflection, probably from your special newsletter you subscribe to, "make noise for Gabbard." You've been a Trumper and always will be as long as he's as disruptive as he is.

Quote:Today, Trump cheated on his taxes. A whistleblower turned Trump in. Cheat is a vague word. Signym, you want something precise. You want to know what crime did Trump do? I cannot say because Trump is keeping his tax returns secret, but he promised that he would make them public. He committed a crime, but nobody knows what, exactly, he did, until those returns are pried away from Trump's control. Maybe Trump did almost nothing wrong. Maybe not. Maybe it is a huge crime. Can't tell until Trump's IRS or Trump's accountants cooperate and make Trump's returns public. Trump promised to do it. All Presidents make their returns public. You can see years of other Presidents' returns, but not Trump's, except for 2 pages from 2005. www.taxnotes.com/presidential-tax-returns

So let me bother.
There was NO quid-pro-quo between Trump and Zelensky, because 1) Zelensky was never contacted by Giuliani ahead of time, 2) Zelensky didn't know the money was withheld, and 3) he never felt pressured.
Without that, ALL YOU HAVE is Trump calling to ask a foreign leader to look into possible illegal activities of Americans while they were living abroad, and potential illegal interference by Ukrainians in the US elections.
