In the final analysis, Signym, you are always looking at the opinions of tiny weaklings who really aren't capable of having any real impact on the world unless somebody stronger and more competent makes and sells them a semi-automatic rifle. Even with their new rifle, they are still nobodies. The only thing important is whether they remember to load the rifle or not. But there are people and institutions that can really kick the shit out of everybody else, people like Trump or institutions like Congress and the Pentagon, that Signym has no understanding of, at all. You always think too small, Signym. You make everything too personal and tiny while, from all you have written over the years, you clearly misunderstand the giants that actually control the world.

In that law, the Republicans mandated "safety" locks be included with weapons. I feel so much "safer" but I'm pretty sure the key to the lock is given to the crazy person who made the purchase so that the weapon could be used at Walmart. Just remember to not be so crazy as to forget to unlock your semi-automatic rifle before pulling the trigger.

To get more votes, the GOP changed laws to make semi-automatic rifles more available. But not just Republican voters purchased more rifles. Mass shooters did, too. That's just one unfortunate, yet entirely predictable consequence of pandering to Republican voters. The Nay votes against all these changes in laws came from Democrats in Congress and in the Supreme Court.

No. It's not every Trump-voter's dream.

You're projecting. You're the one who's laid out some of your violent fantasies for everybody to read about on these forums. Not me. You're the one who keeps goading me to kill my old bosses and take their stuff. Not me. You literally just wrote another post goading me to commit a violent act, while wrongfully attributing it as my fantasy when it is clearly your fantasy.

I've got a post history of my own experience with guns here. The fact that I've owned one for more than a dozen years but I've still never even fired an actual gun in my life.

I treat that thing as if it were almost alive. I certainly treat it as if it was the most dangerous tool that I have. It is the most dangerous tool that I have.

NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre called it “the most significant piece of pro-gun legislation in twenty years.”

He was right that the law would be a boon to gun manufacturers and dealers. Federal appeals courts in New York and California concluded that the law precluded lawsuits under New York and California law. Federal courts in D.C. and Colorado—along with state courts in Alaska, Illinois and Missouri—also held that the law barred suits against the gun industry.

But the Connecticut case dramatically expanded an exception to the PLCAA. Earlier this year, the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision that the estates of victims of the Sandy Hook massacre could sue the manufacturer of the assault rifle used by the man who murdered them under state law because it advertised its product in a manner that could promote mass shootings, such as its slogan, “Forces of opposition, bow down. You are single-handedly outnumbered.”

Remington asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the decision.

Now that I think of it, the name "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act" should be changed to "Sell More Semi-Automatic Rifles to the Crazy Act". The Swiss don't sell to the crazy, but being crazy is no obstacle to an American buying a rifle. Only being too poor to buy will stop Americans from exercising their Second Amendment right. Here is a hint: when asked by gun dealers if you are crazy, tell them no. That hint works only in America, but not in Switzerland.

I was wondering about standing in this case, since Lanza did not carry any Remingtons.
Lanza used a Bushmaster XM15 rifle, a Glock 20 handgun, and a Sig Sauer P226
