Switzerland hasn't had a mass shooting since 2001, but the Swiss have every mental disease known in America. Why don't diseased Swiss minds go on killing sprees with automatic weapons, like they do in America? Because Swiss laws are designed to prevent anyone who is violent or incompetent from owning a gun, while American laws only prevent people with no cash from owning a gun.

Fuck variables. How about the change in 2005 to laws by Republicans? All the Nay votes against the atrocity called the "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act" came from Democrats:

Last week, the gun-maker Remington, which had annual sales of approximately $600 million in 2017, asked the Supreme Court to overturn a Connecticut decision that gave Sandy Hook families the ability to sue the company over the way it marketed the weapon used in the 2012 school massacre.

The ability to bring suits against gun manufacturers would give American citizens a powerful tool to hold gun-makers liable for the damage their weapons cause—much as cigarette companies were vulnerable to suits for the harms of tobacco. It’s not clear whether John Roberts’ court will take the case, and if it does, whether it will side with the families or uphold protections that gun-makers have enjoyed since the Bush administration.

At issue is a 2005 law called the "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act" (PLCAA), which gives gun manufacturers and dealers immunity from the vast majority of lawsuits that could be brought as a result of crimes committed with their firearms. NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre called it “the most significant piece of pro-gun legislation in twenty years.”

He was right that the law would be a boon to gun manufacturers and dealers. Federal appeals courts in New York and California concluded that the law precluded lawsuits under New York and California law. Federal courts in D.C. and Colorado—along with state courts in Alaska, Illinois and Missouri—also held that the law barred suits against the gun industry.

But the Connecticut case dramatically expanded an exception to the PLCAA. Earlier this year, the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision that the estates of victims of the Sandy Hook massacre could sue the manufacturer of the assault rifle used by the man who murdered them under state law because it advertised its product in a manner that could promote mass shootings, such as its slogan, “Forces of opposition, bow down. You are single-handedly outnumbered.”

Remington asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the decision.

Now that I think of it, the name "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act" should be changed to "Sell More Semi-Automatic Rifles to the Crazy Act". The Swiss don't sell to the crazy, but being crazy is no obstacle to an American buying a rifle. Only being too poor to buy will stop Americans from exercising their Second Amendment right. Here is a hint: when asked by gun dealers if you are crazy, tell them no. That hint works only in America, but not in Switzerland.

Although the Republican Party is also terrible. Many factions within the Republican Party are pro-corporation. Procorporation = pro-immigration. [economy, corporations, exploitation] But some factions within the Republican Party don’t prioritize corporations over our future. So the Democrats are nearly unanimous with their support of immigration while the Republicans are divided over it. At least with Republicans, the process of mass immigration and citizenship can be greatly reduced.

Economic Reasons

In short, immigration can only be detrimental to the future of America. Continued immigration will make one of the biggest issues of our time, automation, so much worse. [economy, loss of jobs] Some sources say that in under two decades, half of American jobs will be lost to it. Of course some people will be retrained, but most will not. So it makes no sense to keep on letting millions of illegal or legal immigrants flood into the United States, and to keep the tens of millions that are already here. Invaders who also have close to the highest birthrate of all ethnicities in America. In the near future, America will have to initiate a basic universal income to prevent widespread poverty and civil unrest as people lose their jobs. Joblessness in itself is a source of civil unrest.
