Mueller indicted the IRA (Moscow based Internet Research Agency) and insinuated that it had a direct link to the Kremlin. I'm sure Mueller didn't even expect them to show up in court.
Well, the owner of the IRA hired a high performance Washington atty to represent then, and when they showed up in court to answer the indictment, Mueller bobbled, first asking for a delay because they hadn't been properly served, then asking to hide the evidence against the accused because of national security concerns. The presiding judge didn't look too kindly on these shenanigans, and also ruled that Mueller must stop insinuating that the IRA had Kremlin connections, so Mueller can no longer talk about a vital part of his report, by court order, to Congress
So, did a judge issue a gag order on this? Yes, or no?
Simple question
Years will pass between the crime and a conviction. Or no conviction. Or charges dropped. Just for one example: Charges against Kevin Spacey were dropped today 3 years after the incident. Did the crime ever happen? We will never know for sure. Maybe Spacey really is innocent. Maybe his prosecution was a travesty of injustice. Or maybe not.

Another example from today: El Chapo Guzmán was sentenced. It only required 10 years of legal work to get to this point. With the "presumed innocent until proven guilty" mantra, was he innocent until sentencing? Completely! Obviously! El Chapo complained at his sentencing about the unfairness of his treatment, the injustice of it all. He will appeal. Or he might escape from prison, for the 3rd time.
I'm sure Russia can wage a better legal war against American judiciary unfairness than El Chapo and his lawyers or Kevin Spacey and his lawyers could. The Russians might be able to stall the process for 10 years. Or even get all charges dropped after 3 years. Who knows with the highly inefficient and completely erratic American Court system?

I know the Hillarity aspect used to be brought up occasionally, only to be quickly brushed away - 'well, SHE's not president'. No one ever asked the question why that didn't make a difference.
And now it looks like Obama had a hand in foreign-assisted campaign dirt-digging.
I truly hope there's a very broad investigation into everyone involved - Americans from both parties and foreigners alike. Justice has to be equal and impartial to be just.
Mueller probe witness now faces child sex trafficking charge
An indictment made public Friday in federal court in Alexandria charges Lebanese-American businessman George Nader, 60, with transporting a 14-year-old boy from Europe to Washington, D.C., in February 2000 and engaging in sex acts with him.
Nader's name shows up more than 100 times in Mueller's report. It details his efforts to serve as liaison between a Russian banker close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of President Donald Trump's transition team.

Effectively, we have no president. Rather, we have someone who plays the president on television and on Twitter. Aside from a few of his pet subjects, such as immigration, Trump seems to have almost no effect on the workings of the federal government. What we have seen is a demonstration that government is actually a fairly robust establishment even without a president.
The less control the GOP has over the federal government, the better. Think of it this way: Which would be more dangerous, a Mafia family overseen by the cruel and competent Michael Corleone, or one led by his ineffectual brother Fredo? So, I say, Let Donald be Fredo, since Pence is Michael Corleone.
Pence: not a crook, not a tax cheater, not a liar, not a racist, and not an incompetent administrator. Trump: the opposite of Pence. Which would be a more effective Presidential candidate in 2020? Pence. Most House members know this, except for some of the dumbest Democratic Representatives. Besides, there are 53 Republicans in the Senate who won't retire Trump and switch to Pence in the White House.
