Another music icon of my childhood gone. Peter Tork died today at age 77.

He was never my favourite Monkee. That went to Davey Jones.

Sorry... I know I'm not wanted here in this thread and I've respected that. Had to post about this though. I don't know if I ever knew who Peter Tork was by name, but I do have memories of catching Monkees reruns when I was a little kid during the summer. I remember I kind of liked it because it reminded me of a live action Scooby Doo.

I don't really know any of their songs either, but after I gifted him with his first CD player and burned some music for him, I used to spend quite a lot of time sipping brews and getting high with my late uncle back when I lived with my grams in my early 20's and sharing music from our generations and Daydream Believer was always one of his picks that stuck with me. Great tune.

It's a sad thing when our music favorites start to pass. The Monkees are a bit before my time, but I can empathize having recently lost rock legends like Tom Petty and Chris Cornell.

RIP Peter. Maybe one day you'll get the band back together... whatever awaits us after we shed this mortal coil.

That is a good description of them. Zany situations along with some music. The show was good fun. Davey was my first tv crush. And was the first to go.

They had some really good music for the time and I know I have at least one of their albums still.

Wonder if Mike and Mickey will keep doing the occasional tour now or just retire?

Yep, and we finally bought that mower...

Rode around town to look at models an 95% were very very similar, had the same weird triangle button to reverse the things. Forgot the oil and hada go back in town for it

We had a divorcee buy the place next to me, then she got hitched again within the year (didn't think it would take her long, just from looking at her) and then she rented it out to a couple crack heads who didn't pay rent twice in 4 months. Now it's empty again. Nice looking place on the out, 70's old lady decor on the in. You wanna move to nowhere?

Easier than dealing with the banks, I'm sure.

PS, the new mower uses about half the gas the old one did, but it'll rattle your brain out of your head...

Just read an article that says the bottom 50% of people here have altogether a NEGATIVE net worth.

If Chump is any indication, there needs to be a plague on that top 2% that own everything... like ASAP.
