The illegal Mueller Witch Hunt continues in search of a crime. There was never Collusion with Russia, except by the Clinton campaign, so the 17 Angry Democrats are looking at anything they can find. Very unfair and BAD for the country. ALSO, not allowed under the LAW!

When did he pass the bar? Does he really think the investigation would have been allowed to go on all this time if it were "illegal"? I checked. It is not illegal:
Appointment of special counsel to investigate Russian interference with the 2016 presidential election and related matters, including any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump.

Got one for you - a thread that is definitely wasted on the Mueller witch hunt:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=62681
How do you know what Mueller knows? Or Putin? Or Trump - or any of the little Trumplings? What was that meeting at Trump Tower, if not collusion? "We have dirt on Hillary."
Can you answer any of those?

Whenever Donald, or others, post "witch hunt" it's a weak attempt at deflecting the obvious. Both he and his followers (the kissers of ass) gaslight to draw attention away from their illegal activities, greedy
behavior and all around treasonous acts.
They, of course, fail miserably.

Quote:I wish Trump would fire Jeff Sessions before the 2018 election, rather than after, but I think Trump is smart enough, barely, to wait three months. A new Attorney General replacing Sessions would take over supervising Mueller, who is now being supervised by deputy attorney general Rod J. Rosenstein. I am certain that Trump would pick a new Attorney General who would make it very clear that he does not want Mueller to investigate Trump. It might not be clear during confirmation hearings for the new attorney general, but it would be once Trump's choice is sworn into the job. The beginning of the end of the Witch Hunt is firing Jeff Sessions. I believe Trump is getting ready to do it:

During a freewheeling interview, Trump said that Sessions performed “very poorly” during his confirmation process and only squeaked by with one vote (which is untrue; he was confirmed by a 52-47 vote).
Trump went further, saying, “I don’t have an attorney general. It’s very sad,” adding that “my worst enemies, I mean, people that, you know, are on the other side of me, in a lot of ways including politically, have said that was a very unfair thing he did” in recusing himself from Mueller's investigation. Trump concluded, “I’m very disappointed in Jeff. Very disappointed.”

There’s a problem with this program of cutting taxes for the rich in order to cut useful programs for the rest is: It’s unpopular. So when Hannity asks Trump to explain why people should vote Republican, Trump can’t bother to cite any of their actual policy agenda:
HANNITY: What do you say to those people that love you but maybe aren’t so hot on the Republican House or Senate member?
TRUMP: You have to go out and vote. We need more Republicans. We will get everything we want, but we need more Republicans. Want to protect your Second Amendment, everything, protect all of the great success that you have had over the last little more than a year and a half, think of it, we are coming up — can you believe it — on two years.
Another tactic is to make up fake positions and attribute them to his opponents, as when Trump says, “The Democrats, they want open borders, people coming in, that means crime.”
Last but by no means least, Trump observes that “the stock market today hit the highest level in its history” and then says a Democratic Congress will crash the market for no reason: “401(k)s are up, 57 percent in a short period of time. If the Democrats get in, those numbers will be cut in half. You will see bad things.”

I'll just respond to this by saying that I know the Republicans are full of shit as well, and I've always said that our government works better when no one party has the majority and they're too busy fighting each other.
I'm not going to be happy with the outcome if the Republicans maintain a hard majority down the line. I just don't see it turning out any other way because the Democratic Party and MSM have become so toxic that they can't even win against a Trump white house.

But how's it going nowhere and when? The left? really!? and the Media!? Gee,
I always thought that you guys believed that once you had control of all 3
branches of government, it would be smooth as ice to guide the country to
winning!!!

One question: are we there yet?

What!? that statement makes no sense at all.
So, the Right is in control of the WH, Congress and Senate (and judicial) and
you're still not happy? because of the Dems and Media (is that ALL Media?).
So, basically you want Dems completely out of the picture. Here's what I suggest: You guys take half the country, and the left take over the other

There you go doing that "you guys" thing again.
I've always said that our government is at its "best" when the branches are split and they can't get anything done or passed because they're in a gridlock.
I even just said it again in the first paragraph that you didn't quote here in your response. lol.

Yep, I've been to the South. You know... the Rethug states like Louisiana, Tennessee, and Mississippi that repeatedly top the lists for most welfare, lowest quality of life, least education, most obesity??
I'm sure in your mind farmers are altruistic, but you DO actually know that most of them do it for MONEY, right? And usually... getting that money AT ANY COST TO THE ENVIRONMENT?
There has been a 90% reduction in the Monarch butterfly population in the United States that can be linked to weed killers that contain glyphosate.
There is also some speculation that genetically-modified plants may leak chemical compounds into soil through their roots, possibly affecting communities of microorganisms.
On a global scale, 2 million tons of sewage, agricultural and industrial waste enters the world’s water every day
It is estimated that agriculture may be responsible for half of the nitrogen fixation on earth, primarily through the use and production of man-made fertilizers.
Arcane laws actually encourage farmers to take even more water from the Colorado River and from California's rivers than they actually need, and federal subsidies encourage farmers to plant some of the crops that use the most water.
Farmers AIN'T saints 'cause they grow shit, genius...

Farmers aren't evil by trade either.
A lot of farmers initially didn't use the Monsanto genetically modified seeds at first, but the old seeds were prone to being killed off by the Monsanto variety. These seeds, like any others travel everywhere as well, but unlike natural seeds they self-pollinate and actually kill bees that try to pollinate them.
Monstanto started suing the farmers who did not buy their seeds for selling their products because there is no way to keep outside seeds from germinating outdoors and it's not as if our food is grown in greenhouses.
Farmers ain't rich either. The government sets the prices of the goods when they sell them. The only way they can make more is by selling individually on a local basis and competing with the subsidized prices in the stores.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

SHINY, you have a baaad case of "arguing with the voices in your head". Those voices are so strong, they're preventing you from even hearing what someone else is saying, and recognizing that it is NOT what you think!

This is a Tyler Durden story ... in other words, we don't know who wrote it, and there are only two links to background information. Most of the article appears to be a rewrite of the Bloomberg article that they link. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-10-17/mueller-said-ready-
to-deliver-key-findings-in-his-trump-probe
But if true, we will probably be writing many more threads about the Mueller probe some time after the election.
Quote:
Mueller Probe Is In Its 'Final Weeks', Expected To Wrap Up After Midterms
Following reports earlier this month that three prosecutors from the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller have been reassigned to their previous postings within the Department of Justice (and another has left the DoJ entirely for a research fellowship at Columbia Law School), it appears the Mueller probe, which has persisted for roughly 18 months, has entered its final weeks, with sources within the DoJ telling Bloomberg that a final report on Mueller's findings regarding the probe's two most important threads - whether President Trump obstructed justice during the firing of James Comey and whether the Trump Campaign actively colluded with the Russian government - could be submitted to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein shortly after the midterm election.
However, this doesn't mean that investigations and indictments stemming from Mueller's findings will come to a stop: Mueller has long since started delegating different aspects of his investigation (for the example, the investigation into Michael Cohen that yielded a guilty plea in August) to other prosecutors, and still could pursue an in-person interview with Trump, despite having submitted a list of written questions to Trump's legal team (questions about the firing of James Comey and President Trump's tweets have been declared off limits). Though the DOJ's policy of not indicting a sitting president could stymie any attempt to secure a grand jury subpoena.
Department of Justice guidelines suggest that prosecutors should avoid releasing politically sensitive details to the public directly ahead of an election, which is why Mueller will probably wait to wrap things up until after Nov. 6. Though there's no guarantee that Mueller's findings will ever be made public, since Rosenstein is under no obligation to release them (but if he doesn't, it's almost guaranteed that they will leak). Rosenstein has reportedly made it clear to Mueller that he wants him to wrap up the investigation as "expeditiously as possible." If no more indictments are forthcoming, it's expected that Mueller will move to shut the probe down.
With three weeks to go before the midterm elections, it’s unlikely Mueller will take any overt action that could be turned into a campaign issue. Justice Department guidelines say prosecutors should avoid any major steps close to an election that could be seen as influencing the outcome.
That suggests the days and weeks immediately after the Nov. 6 election may be the most pivotal time since Mueller took over the Russia investigation almost a year and a half ago. So far, Mueller has secured more than two dozen indictments or guilty pleas.
Trump’s frustration with the probe, which he routinely derides as a “witch hunt,” has been growing, prompting concerns he may try to shut down or curtail Mueller’s work at some point.
And since Mueller has been tight-lipped about his biggest bombshells dating all the way back to the Manafort indictment, it's possible that there have been "other major developments behind the scenes." Insiders have said that Manafort's plea deal, struc to avoid a trial in a Washington court following his conviction in Virginia, may have "advanced" Mueller's timeline in the collusion probe.
And whatever Manafort offered the Mueller probe to secure his plea deal, odds are it's "something good."
Manafort appears to have good material to offer, said Samuel BueNOTIFY: Y | REPLY | REPLY WITH QUOTE | PERMALINK | TOP | HOME

In many places it IS. And has been going on for DECADES.
How many farmers have been paid for NOT planting to combat soil erosion?
The CRP costs taxpayers almost $2 billion a year.
How many farmers get paid to dump milk?
In the period 1980-85, the US government spent an average of $2.1 billion every year buying surplus milk
How many people have been paid to not farm land that hasn't been farmed in years?
Nationwide, the federal government has paid at least $1.3 billion in subsidies for rice and other crops since 2000 to individuals who do no farming at all.

The reason they HAVEN'T all switched to BGH, is that it causes more health issues than milk it creates. I'm sure if BGH was only found to make people grow a tail and triple milk production they would still be using it.
"The animals treated with the hormone are subjected to tremendous stress as a result. Normally, for about 12 weeks after a cow calves, she produces milk at the expense of her health. The cow loses weight, is infertile and is more susceptible to diseases. Eventually, milk output diminishes and the cow's body begins to recover. By injecting rBGH, a farmer can postpone that recovery for another eight to 12 weeks, substantially increasing the cow's milk output, but also rendering her more susceptible to disease.(4)"

Well, one of the things I thought was interesting was the incidence of "downer cows" in the dairy industry. BGH or not, cows have been bred to pump out ginormous amounts of milk. I did a pound-per-pound comparison once, and I think it came out to a 120-lb woman pumping out 7 pounds (almost a gallon) of milk per day.
This all play havoc with the cow's metabolism because they lose so much calcium, magnesium, and sugar that they can develop a kind of flaccid paralysis which prevents them from getting up, and cows that are "down" for too long develop leg embolisms or twisted guts or some other fatal problem.
The reason why I got so interested in this is because dear daughter was getting an experimental treatment of immunoglubulin infusion, which is a blood product which is pooled from as many as 25,000 people. So if there's anything in the blood that you might catch, there's a good chance that you'll get it. They had started the infusions right about the time that "mad cow" disease was detected in Britain, and since it takes many years to incubate -and with American tourists and soldiers frequently passing from the UK to the USA - I was greatly concerned for our daughter's health. I even wrote to one of the early experts about my dilemma.
Anyway, symptoms of "mad cow" disease look an awful lot like the metabolic derangement that dairy cows suffer. I was shocked how many "downer" cows are in the dairy industry. What they've done is require that cows be able to WALK to the slaughterhouse, and they do all kinds of barbaric things to make the poor cows get up just to stagger forward across the line. If you want to see horrific abuse, I think slaughterhouses are a pretty clear example.
One thing that I just don't understand is why dairy farmers don't just get shade for their cows. Allowing cows access to shade increases milk production by something like 10-50%%. Seems like a cheap fix to me!
Oh, wait ... I'm waaaay off-topic! That will be the last post about cows in this thread, I promise!

Was Russia’s 2016 intervention for Trump a tactical success, yet a strategic failure?
www.vox.com/2019/4/25/18516471/mueller-report-russia-hacking-trump-put
in-2016-election
On the night of Donald Trump’s victory, members of the Russian Duma reportedly burst out in applause when Trump’s election was confirmed, and Putin was spotted sipping champagne. In a speech at the Kremlin, he announced, “Russia is ready and wants to restore full-fledged relations with the US.” In the middle of the celebration, Kirill Dmitriev, the head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, received a text from a friend in New York: “Putin has won.”
As Mueller’s report makes clear, Putin viewed Trump and his aides as potential collaborators in his plan to restore Russia’s role as an influential global player. So, Mueller reported, “as soon as news broke that Trump had been elected President, Russian government officials and prominent Russian businessmen began trying to make inroads.”
As Robert Anderson Jr., a former top counterintelligence official with the FBI, explained in a March court document, these types of back channels “would have benefited the Russian government by enabling Russia to bypass formal channels of diplomacy, win concessions, and exert influence within the United States. Such benefits to the Russian government would have carried with them commensurate harm to the United States, including harm to the integrity of the United States’ political processes and internal government dealings, as well as to U.S. foreign policy interests and national security.”
Putin wanted Trump to lift the economic sanctions imposed to punish Russia — and its wealthy elite — for the annexation of Crimea, and to forestall the imposition of tougher sanctions. His government was pushing a Ukraine peace plan that would largely preserve the status quo, and it needed Trump’s assent to quell international and regional opposition.
For a while, the effort to create warmer relations and find a compliant partner must have looked like it was making headway.
But some of the Russians’ entreaties were ignored — partly due to dysfunction and incompetence on the part of Trump’s team.
As questions about Russian election interference began to swirl in the American media and the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Russia’s influence efforts — which had formally kicked off four months before the election — expanded, Putin’s proxies started running into walls. Flynn, who had convinced Kislyak to tell Putin to hold off on retaliation for sanctions, was booted from the White House within a month of Trump’s swearing in, after the FBI made it clear he had lied to the vice president and was a counterintelligence risk. He later pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and made a plea deal, explaining his sanctions conversations to Mueller.
Petr Aven, the oligarch chairman of the Russian Alfa-Bank, had sought — at Putin’s direction — intermediaries to push for a communications channel to improve US-Russia relations, according to the Mueller Report. But he was told in an email from Richard Burt, a former US ambassador who was on the board of one of Aven’s companies, that “with so much intense interest in the Congress and the media over the question of cyber-hacking (and who ordered what), Project A [a back channel] was too explosive to discuss.” Later, the Mueller Report states, Aven had to explain to Putin in one of their quarterly meetings that not only had he failed to establish a back channel with the new American president, he had received a subpoena from the FBI and been questioned about his efforts to do so.
Putin’s tactics worked to help bring Trump into the Oval Office, and Trump’s role as a strategic disruptor is obviously paying dividends, with America’s popular reputation provably in decline around the globe. But the overall plan may still prove a strategic failure for the Russian president. Despite attempts, even by Trump himself, to downplay Russia’s interference, the considerable evidence to the contrary dug up by Mueller has now mostly been

JewelStaiteFan, if Putin had made inroads with Trump before the election, then Trump loses, Hillary would have sent Trump to Gitmo and nuked Putin in Moscow to remind him to keep his nose out of America's business.
