Buffy Comics Reading Order?

Hey folks.

I've been meaning to get into the Buffy comics for a couple years. There's a sale on Comixology, which I think is just the push I've needed. The reading order for the "seasons" is pretty clear (start with 8 and move forward) but there are a bunch of other comics that aren't part of the seasons. Are there any I should read first? Could I skip them all and come back when I'm caught up with the seasons?

I just read the plot synopsis for the Buffy comics online last month. It's not something I would spend money on. Some of the plots are looney tunes.

I've stopped buying video games and just watch walkthroughs on youtube, too. Getting old, I guess.
