Well, if you're horrified no matter WHOSE head is depicted, then your ethics are straightforward. But if you're happy about Tump's head being depicted, and unhappy if it were Hillary's or Obama's, then your ethics and standards aren't so straightforward.
It's a good check of what you're really responding to ... the event/ action, or the person/tribe.

1267 incidents in 2016, giving a 57% increase for 2017 (talkingpointsmemo.com reports this 57% as 67%). Greatest increases in schools (94%) and colleges (89%) (bastions of Liberals). 2016 was 33% increase over 2015.
States of NY, CA, NJ, MA, FL, PA accounted for more than half of total incidents. Yes, every one of them a bastion of Liberal Intolerance.
Total Assaults are down from 36 to 19. But what Headline would that grab? Only NJ was able to keep it's Assault count from dropping. But Reported vandalism and harassment increased. On school and college campuses? How could that be?
2015 was 951. The peak month for 2015 was November. The peak for 2016 was November, when Liberals went batshit following the loss of their hero. High levels continued through December and January. The peak for 2017 was both February and March, when Liberals went batshit following Inauguration.
K-12 school incidents increased 106% from 2015-2016, compared with only 94% into 2017.
Colleges incidents were found to be more common when faculty were engaged in Anti-Israel boycotting.
The months of June, July, August are the lowest of the year, when schools are not in session, unable to foment unrest, Intolerance and Hatred.
2016 was the pinnacle of Obama's rabid Muslim Nation influx, but was unable to top the 1352 of 2008.
The report did not include incidents perpetrated by Women's March instigators, or Black Lives Matter instigators.
