OTOH, ANTIFA aren't all angelic either.
There's bad behavior on both sides. Most likely the white supremacist "side" has a longer serious rap sheet than ANTIFA, if only because they've been in existence a lot longer.
But so what? Do white supremacist crimes excuse ANTIFA crimes?
My opinion has been, for a LONG time, that violence is only permissible in self defense or the immediate defense of others. The idea that we should attack "first" is what convinced us to kill an awful lot of foreigners. And here in the USA it's plainly a crime; called "assault" or "assault and battery". It's a terrible idea which has gotten us into an awful lot of trouble, convincing us to target people that shouldn't have been, and it's going to get us into even MORE trouble the more we justify that idea.

Doesn't it seem kind of odd to anyone that I'm one of the few people here who's arguing for national unity? That we need to find our COMMON national interests ... through discussion and exchanging ideas ... instead of being goaded (and we ARE being goaded) into picking fights and tearing this nation apart? That we need to direct our nation through democratic means, not by violence? By contrast, look at SECOND, who (some of you) think is a Patriotic American: Not only does he despise and attack the vast majority of Americans, he has openly decided that democracy is a terrible idea. (And yet I get attacked for "attacking" our "democratic institutions"!)
I know that we have huge divisions on SOME issues about what we think is right and wrong, but we'll only figure this out if we TALK to each other, instead of hitting each other over the head. For the most part, I believe we have a lot more in common* than anyone is willing to credit. But it's a very long road to finding - or even recognizing- common ground so it's best we get started soon.
* I could probably post about 25 statements - such as "equal rights for everyone", or "everyone has a right to privacy" - that we probably all agree on, at least in theory.

How America works is complicated. People with power and money since the beginning of time have had more access and influence than those who don't. Still, “Rather often, average citizens and affluent citizens (our proxy for economic elites) want the same things from government.” This does get reflected in policy outcomes. Proposals that are supported up and down the income spectrum have a better chance of being enacted than policies that do not have such support. To that extent, democracy is working.
America is a work in progress. England still has a Queen. Two steps forward one step back is how things always work. In time we'll see the world resemble what our founding fathers envisioned, in time.

Again sig has to create a false argument as a response to a post. I don't recall anyone saying everything wrong in this country is the republicans fault. Perhaps an ideologue on the far left has, certainly not me.
So why does she do it. Well, because she is running from what she claims to be true because the facts don't match her accretions. Yet she still leaves the signature as is, again why? Because sig herself is a walking talking lie. If the signature goes away, the lie, sig disappears.
