Proud Boys bussed in a horde of protesters and a few of their members were arrested before this violent outbreak even started, for different incidents. Tell me which side keeps calling for civility again?

Yanno what, REAVERFAN? I read the article and looked at the video and I have to say that it is a disingenuous article written by a whiner who believes that it was everyone else's fault that someone got hurt.
The author whined that the rightwing group was allowed to have flagpoles (maybe because the rightwing group had a permit for a demonstration, and ANTIFA didn't?) And then she whined that the police didn't protect them from those nasty bullies. And she studiously avoided the topic of who started it. The altercation is presented in a passive tone, like bubblegum got all over the dog.

Given that OTHER press releases put the blame squarely on ANTIFA/ Black Bloc, I decided to look at the video in slow motion and what I saw was a group of black-masked (presumably Black Bloc) alternately surging towards, mobbing, and retreating from a group of people across the street. Now, in MY book, if you have crossed the street to assault another person, that kind of makes YOU the aggressor, doesn't it? (This kind of reminds me of the story about how a parade viewer claimed that a man in a bunny costume "assaulted" him, when video clearly shows that the so-called victim stepped off the curb and waded into the parade for a confrontation. Needless to say, his claim of being "assaulted" didn't go very far.)

Yesterday, there were hundreds of protests all over the country. I attended 2 of them, myself. They were peaceful. They had speakers, music, etc. Totally peaceful.
Nazis from out of town bus themselves into Portland, wearing riot gear and carrying pipes, and guess what? They do what they went there to do: Start a fight and blame it on everyone else.
That's what Nazis do. Read some history.
