Comes out Thursday, the 14th. Who's going, who's waiting?
I've heard that "Jedi" is pluralized in other languages advertising.

I didn't like the last one. I think it was that I didn't particularly care for the cast. This looks like more of the same.
The same thing happened with the original series. I hated Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. He really sucked.

Quote:The first reactions to The Last Jedi are in, and they’re universally glowing. Those who have seen the film say it’s one of the most unique entries in the Star Wars universe, filled with truly unexpected moments.

Disney has embargoed full reviews of The Last Jedi until later this week, but audience members were allowed to post their spoiler-free thoughts on social media.
The pattern is clear: The Last Jedi is unlike any other Star Wars film to date. Many of the people who have seen it sound like little kids who’ve watched a Star Wars movie for the very first time.

I’ve seen THE LAST JEDI. It is the funniest STAR WARS by leaps and bounds, and the most interesting visually since the first. Maybe even including the first!

I didn’t think Star Wars movies could make me cry, but The Last Jedi did, not because of nostalgia but because it felt big-hearted in a new way

TheLastJedi has a radically different structure from The Empire Strikes Back - and every other Star Wars movie.

I don't think a perfect cast would have saved the first set, it was bad plot and marketing hulabaloo. And like the Titanic, you knew how it was going to end and that it would end badly. You can hardly blame the actors for THAT.
Hayden wasn't a perfect actor in it but if you compare the acting to other young adults at the time, he wasn't the worst either. Most straight men aren't great actors in their 20's.
I still think he's good looking, and maybe that's all that they wanted... eye candy. He married the chick from Jumper that he co-starred with (Hart of Dixie's Rachel Bilson), had a couple kids and they just recently split up.

Several at work have been talking about it every day. At 2 1/2 hours, my local cinema does not have an early enough Showtime for me to see Thursday. Some from work are taking the day off so they can watch it.
Sounds like it only compares to Episode IV: A New Hope.

The director said it refers to Luke and should be singular. Which makes sense because in the crawl for Force Awakens they call Luke "the last Jedi".
The real question to me is "Does this mean forever or just at the current time?". I really really hope they aren't ending the Jedi order. 1.) The Jedi have always been the heroes of Star Wars 2.) they need force users with lightsabers so they'd likely just replace the Jedi order with something else and it would just feel like only a name change which to me sounds dumb.

I never even watched Episode III. Like the Super Hero burnout, I was burned out on Star Wars a long time ago. To each their own, but I have no interest in seeing any of the new SW/Disney cash grab. Not even for free on my Kodi.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Coworkers excited they got tickets. Only one showing today in area.
Looks like I might not be able to shoehorn in a viewing soon.

I liked it! Saw it at the drive-in last night.

Everybody at work liked it, said it was better than Rogue One.
Our area's only showing Thursday, reportedly had 4 unoccupied seats.
