Out of the above, only Hidden Secrets may have an Oscar contender: Taraji P. Henson, Best Supporting Actor.
The rest were highly entertaining and well put together films; professional, slick with solid storylines and good acting. Were they without their flaws? no, but minor in comparison to the overall films.

Let's see what The Last Jedi has to offer.

I can't whittle my current list down to 10 at this time, but here are my contenders now:

The Promise
Gifted
Colossal
Megan Leavey
John Wick 2
Dark Tower
Valerian
GoTG 2
Before I Fall
Logan Lucky
Wind River

I have still not seen Spidey, Bad Batch, Baby Driver, Book of Henry yet.

Gifted, Colossal, Dark Tower, Wind River are the top 4.

Seems a little weird that I'm seeing a bunch of really good films at this time of year.

Kinda expected to see a few in the spring, and a flurry during summer, before fall's Award season choices. That seemed to be a pattern I've seen before. But this summer was less fruitful than hoped.

Some of the films from now could have been spread over the spring and summer.
