Hey, all:

THUD, the television column at CHUD.com, is doing a poll of the 25 greatest moments in the Buffyverse in honor of the Seventh season DVD. The site is really trying to get a master list from all the fans, so if you could write in your ten favorite moments, I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

Here's the link:

Not spamming by a long shot,

Brendan

I sent in my e-mail w/my top ten
favorite Buffy and/or Angel moments:

1. Once More With Feeling (BtVS S6), when Spike & Buffy kiss at the end of the show
2. Hush (BtVS S4), when Giles presents the exposition with the overhead projector
3. Restless (BtVS S4), when the dreams unfold and overlap into information about the first Slayer, and the never explained Cheeseman (maybe my favorite moment there was Giles singing the exposition at the Bronze! LOL).
4. Something Blue (BtVS S4), when Buffy & Spike become engaged and discuss whose name will look 'majorly weird' on the invitations.
5. Tabula Rosa (BtVS S6), when Spike is in the tweed suit and shows that without even knowing he has a chip he has suppressed the demon so well that he has no idea he is a vampire.
6. Pangs (BtVS S4), when Buffy is so busy channeling Martha Stewart in order to have the 'perfect Thanksgiving dinner' that she can barely remember that there is a vengeful spirit trying to kill them all.
7. Lies My Parents Told Me (BtVS S7), where Andrew shows his video tape of Faith's history and explains that he believes that Faith fought and killed a Vulcan, that most logal of all beings. LOL
8. Superstar (BtVS S4), when Jonathan does everything perfectly, explaining to Buffy that she needs to develop more confidence.
9. Primeval (BtVS S4), when Buffy, Giles, Xander, and Willow combine into one magical being who can easily defeat Adam without even having to work hard to do it.
10. Damage (Ats S5), when Andrew saw Spike alive and greeted him with hugs & tears.

Can you guess that I loved Buffy's Season 4?

With you on most of these.. even though I hated s4. It was Riley that did it.. Captain Cardboard.
I think one of my favourite moments was his departure.

Interesting point you raised about 'Tabula Rasa' and Spike (I'm an obsessive Spike fan) I'd never thought of the situation that way before. Too busy laughing at Spike in Tweed.

'My names Randy Giles? Why not just call me 'Horny Giles' or 'Desperate for a shag' Giles?
- Spike - Tabula Rasa

I'll definitely be all over this, as soon as I get that little necessity some of us call sleep.

Just a quick correction, though, the Vulcan/Faith scene wasn't in Lies My Parents Told Me, it was in the following episode, Dirty Girls.

:)

Simon:You...you came for us.
Mal:You're on my crew.
Simon:Right. I guess I just didn't...you don't even like me.
Mal:You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Tops might be the scene with Xander and Dawn at the end of the episode where she thinks she's a potential (season 7).

In Tabula Rasa, the whole bit on how ludicrous a vampire with a soul is.

Forget the episode, but Spike's line to Giles about his life flashing before his eyes is great: "Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost had a shag, cuppa tea..."

And, of course, when Xander's lie about what Willow said at the end of season 2 is FINALLY mentioned 5 seasons later (Willow: "Hey, I never said that!")
