The picture of Trump holding a Hillary head, not
so much ... because it's a drawing, a charicature.
I can't blame Trump, because He Did Not Do It!!
Whoever tried to put this on him is sneaky scum.
There've been political cartoons & parodies forever.
I don't recall anything this offensive ever before.

So, here's the thing ...
When someone says they're against Muslims/ Jews/ whites/ blacks/ women/ men/ gays etc and goes out bashing them .... well, there's a consistency of thought and action.
But when someone is fighting a racist fight against racism, or bombing people to impose freedom, or stupidly attacking someone's (presumed) stupidity ... well, there's kind of a disconnect between stated goals and action.
If anyone has read "The Authoritarians" http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/ they probably skimmed over the part where Bob Altemeyer says that it is also possible to be a LEFT WING authoritarian. He doesn't make much of it because, as he explains, in the then-current climate (GWB Presidency) there were far many more examples of rightwing authoritarianism extant. But, he insisted, leftwing authoritarianism was also possible.

According to his Facebook page, the Portland Muslim-hater is no fan of Trump, he's a Bernie Sanders supporter. Other than he's a crazy psycho, there's nothing else to say about it, unless you want to blame Bernie for this guy's murderous actions.
As to the Kathy Griffin thing, like you, I have no illusion of civility or respect anymore for my political and cultural enemies. Unlike you, however, I usually don't rant about it here because that's just a waste of time.
As for Trump, the good book says "as you sow, so shall you reap". He ran a scorched earth campaign to win, so he shouldn't expect rose petals and platitudes now.
