I was thinking Kennedy and before. But it's been a long, long time since then. 54 years.
I wonder why that is. What has gotten so out of whack for so long?

According to my list, Trump is a zero. He tried to kill Obamacare; is poorly administrating it; but the legislation to kill it has not passed yet. He has not heaped trillions of dollars on his buddies because the legislation has not passed yet. He hasn't built the Mexico/Texas wall because the legislation has not passed yet. He hasn't made a dent in the illegal alien population because the legislation has not passed yet. All his eventual "accomplishments" will really be better credited to the Republican party, not Trump, because he is mentally disorganized.

As for the fourth circuit ruling, the majority opinion didn't call Trump a liar. It didn't even say he was 'not to be believed'. Here's the ruling. Find your claims - if you can. http://coop.ca4.uscourts.gov/171351.P.pdf And it will probably go forward to the Supremes. It's not a done deal.
So, ACCORDING TO YOUR LIST - Trump's not bad. He's certainly not worth the endless howling you've been doing from BEFORE day one.
http://coop.ca4.uscourts.gov/171351.P.pdf page 51, where EO-1 is Trump’s Executive Order. The opinion mentions "Bad Faith" which is defined as intent to deceive. Ordinary people call it lying. In existentialist philosophy bad faith is refusal to confront facts or choices.
Plaintiffs here claim that EO-2 invokes national security in bad faith, as a pretext for what really is an anti-Muslim religious purpose. Plaintiffs point to ample evidence that national security is not the true reason for EO-2, including, among other things, then-candidate Trump’s numerous campaign statements expressing animus towards the Islamic faith; his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States; his subsequent explanation that he would effectuate this ban by targeting “territories” instead of Muslims directly; the issuance of EO-1, which targeted certain majority-Muslim nations and included a preference for religious minorities; an advisor’s statement that the President had asked him to find a way to ban Muslims in a legal way; and the issuance of EO-2, which resembles EO-1 and which President Trump and his advisors described as having the same policy goals as EO-1.

My quick answer: Somewhere along the line, we lost respect, values.
Maybe more accurately: we didn't impart our respect & values to our kids.
The TV did ... now the Internet does.
When I was a child, the Husband was the bread winner; the Wife was the
HomeMaker. Nowadays, there're way more families where both parents
have to work to make ends meet.
What was it that drove the cost of living up & changed our way of life?
"Dystopia: an imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant
or bad, typically a totalitarian or environmentally degraded one."
Hmmm. Are we there yet?
This topic would make a good thread.
... oooOO}{OOooo ...

Perhaps you could post the first post in a new thread? That would be enjoyable.

I am really wondering why there is so much disagreement at this point that Trump is a terrible person who should never have been a candidate for president. He does not have the personality or moral character for the job - or rather compared to the last few presidents he DOES, which is a deeply disappointing commentary on America in general.
You really should post here more often. It's nice to occasionally hear another voice of reason in here.

The question for this Court, distilled to its essential form, is whether the Constitution, as the Supreme Court declared in 1866, remains “a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace.” And if so, whether it protects Plaintiffs’ right to challenge an Executive Order that in text speaks with vague words of national security, but in context drips with religious intolerance, animus, and discrimination.
The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment yet stands as an untiring sentinel for the protection of one of our most cherished founding principles—that government shall not establish any religious orthodoxy, or favor or disfavor one religion over another.
Congress granted the President broad power to deny entry to aliens, but that power is not absolute. It cannot go unchecked when, as here, the President wields it through an executive edict that stands to cause irreparable harm to individuals across this nation. Therefore, for the reasons that follow, we affirm in substantial part the district court’s issuance of a nationwide preliminary injunction as to the challenged Executive Order.
I will add that the court in the next 100 pages called Trump a lying sack of shit, but in the most polite legal terms possible.

It still didn't say Trump lied. Or even acted in bad faith. All they concluded was that arguments HAD BEEN MADE BY OTHERS to that effect. That procedurally allowed them to go beyond the TEXT of the Executive Order to the CONTEXT, to try to divine what might be on Trump's mind. I find that kind of silly, myself. No one has telepathy. Anyway, to go beyond text to context, they relied on previous rulings in previous cases, which I read. Did you? TO ME, it appeared they stretched precedent beyond where it should have gone. And in fact, that was the dissenting argument.
With any luck, it'll head to the Supreme Court.
Please note that the court didn't actually rule on the Executive Order itself. In fact, it admitted, right in the beginning, that there was no basis for an injunction, as the Order itself was well within Trump's authority.
I put that in green to help you focus your attention on the salient issue.

Barring the kind of hyperbolic growth Trump has promised and economists have disputed, Trump's budget would do little to combat the national debt. Rather, it would potentially increase it.
This is only a Libtard PoV, the real world does not succumb to this model of Libtardism.
This thread has 70 posts. It would be handy if any other Broken Promises submitted or discussed by others in this thread were listed or summarized in the first Post or 2 of the thread, otherwise it would take a while to search through the whole thread to find mentions.
I don't know if these 2 have been mentioned:
Relocating the American Embassy in Israel. Apparently Trump promised during the campaign that he would move the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's Capital city. I have heard that he has now decided to break this promise. Although it might mean that he'll move it to another city (there has been much discussion), I gathered that it meant that he won't move it at all.
Rebuilding the military (Department of Defense). He had promised during and after the campaign that he would restore funding to the DoD to rebuild/restore the dilapidated strength, material, and resources of the military to a state of readiness. Senior officers seem to claim the budget as submitted fails to even attempt this.
