Here's the thing.

I understand your disgust. Your - dare I say it - hate. Your impotent rage.

GWB made my skin crawl. He dismissed the legality of all 50 States Attorney General filings against loan company and bank fraud because the housing bubble was the only thing breathing life into the US economic corpse. And how did that turn out? And then he took the US into Afghanistan - and then Iraq - on false pretenses AND DEMOCRATS WENT ALONG WITH IT LIKE THE CRAVEN DOORMATS THEY ARE. And how did that turn out? And THEN he passed the Patriot Act, along with jackass democrats. And how did THAT turn out? There were many things he did, large and small, that had me in a state where I was caught between frustration and despair.

Trump promises to do a lot of awful things domestically. BUT HE HASN'T DONE THEM YET.

Stop obsessing about Trump. And democrats in general need to stop obsessing about Trump. And btw - this Russian hobbyhorse the democrats are riding - unless there is concrete evidence Trump did something illegal, it's going nowhere. Give it up, already.

IF DEMOCRATS WANT TO HAVE A POLITICAL FUTURE AS A PARTY, THEY HAVE TO START ADDRESSING PEOPLES' CONCERNS.

Once people see they have a viable political option, Trump and the republicans will become dust in the next midterm.

So, was Hillary. After all, she was jonesing for a direct military confrontation with Russia. And she was so seriously deluded, that was hunky-dorey with her. THAT kind of crazy should have scared the crap out of you.

Trump might be the biggest asshole, and most infantile narcissist in the world for all I know. Last I checked, that wasn't impeachable.

What you checked is worthless, 1kiki, because "impeachable" is decided by the House of Representatives, not you or me. It is extremely political decision to impeach and has everything to do with the number of Republicans in the House. Same with "unconstitutional", it is not decided by you or me, but by the Supreme Court. It is extremely political and has everything to do with how many Republicans are on the Supreme Court. But we certainly can decide whether Trump is lying or not. We don't need the Chief Justice or the Speaker of the House to make up our minds about that.

An actual liberal (something 1kiki is obviously not) has laid out the details of how Trump "broke promises" or lied in more colloquial language in his two tweets this evening:

President Trump on Sunday evening called for more spending on health care and said his plan to overhaul the tax code “is actually ahead of schedule” — two statements that are at odds with the budget proposal he unveiled just last week.

All of your Trump obsession is going to go nowhere. For the exact reason you outlined.

Stop. Just stop. Do something useful. Maybe write to the democrap party that you're so obviously in love with, and tell them the more they cry wolf about Russia, the less they look like a viable political choice. After all, not only did they lose what should have been in the bag, they've spent all their time ever since whining 'it's all Ruuuuusia's fault ...' Yeah. How adult and capable is THAT? But don't worry. I'm SURE it'll have people just flocking to the party! FLOCKING! I say.
Tell them they have to start solving the problems the vast majority of people care about, like this

labor force participation rate 2008-2017
instead of catering to every faction and flavor of minority victimhood. Or the midterms will be a rout as democrats bail even more to third parties.

MEANWHILE - I'm STILL wondering - what it is that Trump has DONE that's so bad. He tried to talk with Russia. Terrible! He tweets. A capital crime, I'm sure! And OMFingG!, he broke some campaign promises. The first politician EVER to do that.

Obviously, it's a question you can't answer.

So, for starters - Are we at war? Has the economy crashed? Is Trump droning people to death? Have we attacked yet another country? Have we been attacked? What it is that Trump has DONE that's so bad?

Any takers?

Bernie was making noises that this would be easy – by changing a few trade agreements and without spending big money – labor participation would rise. Trump made the exact same noises, except he subtracted illegal aliens and he added coal miners to labor participation.

Both Bernie and Trump are full of baloney as far as their understanding of how the US economy works. It will take spending like it is WWII to give everybody a high paying job. Politically that can’t happen because a WWII level of money will come from people who already have a job and are fairly happy with their lives. And those people vote for what is in their best interest. Those people will not vote to make sacrifices to help other Americans without a good job. It is not the American way.

Voting for a third party will not increase labor participation. There is no third way that costs less money. It will cost a great deal more money.

Trump has done nothing so bad.

No matter what Trump does, he is safe as long as he does not politically irritate 67 Senators. Very few Senators care about what crimes Trump commits. It is all politics.

There were 48 Senators that wanted him impeached before he was inaugurated, but they needed a plausible reason to be politically safe from the voters. If Robert Mueller gives the Democrats a better reason than Trump talked to Russians and also if Trump becomes an embarrassment for his own party, the Republicans will join with the 48. Then Trump will be politically dead as Nixon.

By the way, I don't think Nixon's Watergate connected crimes were that big a deal, except to Republican Senators who were tired of his craziness and wanted nice, safe and sane V.P. Jerry Ford as President. Nixon bombing Cambodia was a real crime, but that did not get him impeached. It was the gradual deterioration of his personality that politically killed Nixon.

There are a lot of Republicans who never wanted him in the first place and I think it would be easy to impeach at this point if they so desired.

There would be a backlash by people who voted for Trump though, at least at this point. You Dems are practically setting Trump up for Martyrdom if you're wrong and there are no nefarious things going on with Russia.

That's why the Republicans aren't already on board with an impeachment. If it turns out he was clean it will be the end of any GOP politician's career that turned on him.

Don't think I haven't noticed the change in tides here regarding Trump's guilt the last week or so. What's wrong? Is the MSM backpedaling on the narrative all of the sudden?

Trump was out of the country for a week and he lowered his volume of crazy talk and worthless tweets. The MSM did not have much to report about him. Now Trump's back, but it is a national holiday. When Trump returns to being the same old loudmouth as before, the MSM will report on it. Somebody ought to tell Trump to shut up and get to work on his promises.

Yes, no, yes, yes, maybe.

From a Trump friendly source:

http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2017/01/23/reports-trumps-f
irst-drone-strikes-kill-10-al-qaeda-jihadists-yemen-including-top-boss
/

Something that happened with me, early on in the Obama administration, is he continued the shitty ass policies of the Clintons and GWB before him. He continued meddling in the middle east, continued targeted strikes, and continued the PATRIOT Act.

I hated Obama after that, so much so that I refused to vote in the next election.

I am really wondering why there is so much disagreement at this point that Trump is a terrible person who should never have been a candidate for president. He does not have the personality or moral character for the job - or rather compared to the last few presidents he DOES, which is a deeply disappointing commentary on America in general.
