The MSM kept covering the Trump University story, fake or not. Then Trump paid a $25,000,000 fine this year, breaking the promise that he would not settle. Paying was the same as admitting to the MSM that every single time Trump had said "fake news" he knew he was guilty.
Trump is pulling the exact same "fake news" scam again, claiming "fake news" for the next 4 to 8 years. When he eventually pays his fine for what is happening today we will know the only thing fake for all those years was Trump, not the MSM news stories about him.

To get to a settlement for "Swindling Students" at Trump U took thousands of hours of depositions over 6 years and a Judge that set a trial date. To get to a settlement for "Obstructing Justice" will take thousands of hours and years and a Judge or Speaker of the House to set a date. Trump could speed up the process by being forthcoming with explanations. That won't happen. He could speed it up even more by firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which would stir up more accusations of obstructing justice.
