I have had some difficulty navigating the various posts and films mentioned here - just a bit unwieldy.
Some of the posters in this thread seem no longer around.
My first post in this thread is the 5th overall, and I have tried to list all of the mentioned films of this thread in a summary there.
I am wondering something. How many have used the lists here to choose a film to watch, and how were the results? The results of In Bruges seem mostly positive, with one negative.
I have been quite a film buff for a while, so not many of these left me surprised, just tickling my memory when I read the names.
Is a thread like this useful to those looking for another film to watch? After all, there is usually some reality show we could watch instead.

I have no idea why it seems so few have watched Canadian Bacon. The last complete film from John Candy, and likely my favorite, alongside Uncle Buck. Awesome cast, fantastic hilarity (of the Canadian variety).
And Brazil made me a Kim Greist fan.
I rarely run into people who have seen L.A. Confidential. WTF? Although I do rarely suggest a film that Kim Basinger is in - she still has refused to honor her promise to leave America if only we would elect G.W. Bush.

I don't know that only a few people know about it, but The Debt doesn't seem to have had a lot of viewers.
Wonderful cast and story, I often confuse scenes in it with Munich.

A movie I watched a few months ago that not many seem to know of is a strange cult sci-fi movie from 1984 called Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension... the name is a mouthful and the movie is bizarre but I absolutely loved it.

I thought most people knew about it. Wonderful cast, most of whom are easily recognizable now. Including Clancy Brown 2 years before his Highlander turn.

Well the movie does have some popularity, with few fan sites, but it still is very underrated and retains its cult status to this day. I heard Big Trouble in Little China was supposedly intended to originally be a sequel to Buckaroo Banzai, would you know anything about that?

One of my favorites:
Rocket Gibraltor with Burt Lancaster, 1988 one of his last films. I believe that Field of Dreams was his last film released in 1989. He was fantastic in both.
