Does anybody even watch baseball anymore? They had to cash in their Cubs chip last year finally just to generate some interest.

What Trump should do is just show up to a Nationals game unannounced. Then there would be nobody in the stadium to boo him.

That's not a bad idea.

The MSM did the opposite of what you think they did.

By March 2016, Trump received $2 Billion Worth of Free Media. Hillary received $746 million.

By election day, Trump had received $5 Billion In Free Advertising.

Was it $5 Billion in attacks upon Trump? NO! It helped Trump. There seem to be an awful lot of people who heard only one thing from Trump during the campaign: He was going to build a wall and keep out all the Mexicans.

After the election, AFTER BECAUSE IT WAS IMPORTANT and the MSM had to stop kicking Hillary in the teeth since she was officially a nobody, people started hearing the rest of Trump’s story, not all of which was to his advantage.

Who said I think that? I know what they did, and what they are continuing to do by doubling down on it.

The MSM did the opposite of what they thought they were doing, and are still doing that today.

They better turn up something pretty damning and soon. They're 110% vested in this now, and it's going to destroy them if they find nothing.

That's not good for any of us.

So true 6,

Second, the media can value their airtime for Trump at whatever they want, but it was their decision to cover him, he did nothing to win them over.

During the election, the MSM covered about equally the scandals of Trump and Hillary. Once Hillary was officially a nobody, a zero, all the coverage moved to Trump. Hillary gets no airtime, while Trump, being President, gets all of Hillary's, everything he got as a candidate, and what President Obama would have got on typical day with no drama.

Do you remember Hillary's scandal? Yes, you do. Do you remember Trump's scandals? There were too many. Nothing in particular comes to mind unless you concentrate on one or two and drill into the details.

But now that there is no more Hillary, it is all Trump, all the time. Just remove "Clinton emails" from the following list and that is where we are today, except with more new Trump scandals along with old, old scandals. For Trump, new scandals are like water sliding off the back of a duck. Trump never gets wet :

Clinton emails. Trump admitting sexual assault. Clinton emails. Trump charity fraud. Clinton emails. Trump calls for nuclear proliferation. Clinton emails. Trump calls for national stop and frisk. I see why Trump can get away with what he is doing: Loyalty to Trump.
www.nytimes.com/2017/04/01/opinion/sunday/in-trump-country-shock-at-tr
ump-budget-cuts-but-still-loyalty.html

Moreno was sitting at a table with his boss, Rocky Payton, the factory’s general manager, and Amy Saum, the human resources manager. All said they had voted for Trump, and all were bewildered that he wanted to cut funds that channel people into good manufacturing jobs.

“There’s a lot of wasteful spending, so cut other places,” Moreno said.

Payton suggested that if the government wants to cut budgets, it should target “Obama phones” provided to low-income Americans. (In fact, the program predates President Barack Obama and is financed by telecom companies rather than by taxpayers.)

Yet Democrats gleeful at the prospect of winning penitent voters back should take a deep breath. These voters may be irritated, but I was struck by how loyal they remain to Trump.

I talked to many Trump voters about the impact if Trump’s budget cuts go through, and none regretted their votes in November. They all said that they might vote for Trump for re-election.

“I don’t think I re-evaluate Trump,” Moreno said, adding that he just wants the president to re-evaluate his budget proposal.

Judy Banks, a 70-year-old struggling to get by, said she voted for Trump because “he was talking about getting rid of those illegals.” But Banks now finds herself shocked that he also has his sights on funds for the Labor Department’s Senior Community Service Employment Program, which is her lifeline. It pays senior citizens a minimum wage to hold public service jobs.

“This program makes sense,” said Banks, who was placed by the program into a job as a receptionist for a senior nutrition program. Banks said she depends on the job to make ends meet, and for an excuse to get out of the house.

“If I lose this job,” she said, “I’ll sit home and die.”

Yet she said she might still vote for Trump in 2020. And that’s a refrain I heard over and over. One recent survey found that only 3 percent of Trump voters would vote differently if the election were today.

One More Example of Extreme Loyalty to Trump: Elizabeth Hays, 27, said her life changed during her freshman year in high school, when four upperclassmen raped her. Domestic Violence Intervention Services rescued her, she said, by helping her understand that the rape wasn’t her fault.

She’s profoundly grateful to the organization — yet she stands by Trump even as she is dismayed that he wants to slash support for a group that helped her when she needed it most. “We have to look at what we spend money on,” she said, adding, “I will stand behind my president.”

Right now, since the deep state has chosen to pick a fight with Trump, I'd choose Trump over the deep state. When the deep state/ globalist agenda is destroyed, I'll change my priorities.

First of all SIG. Deep state is a term that represents those who are anti-democratic. That's you and yours. Twisting it into something else that serves those who wish to further that cause, won't fly when dealing with intelligent people. Second, G, KPO, SSG and myself to name a few. You who spread this crap on these threads, are the guilty pointing fingers at the innocent.

---------------------

SIG says I'm a deep state troll. oh my.

Deep state

The deep state is alleged to be a group of influential anti-democratic coalitions within the Turkish political system, composed of high-level elements within the intelligence services, Turkish military, security, judiciary, and mafia. The notion of deep state is similar to that of a "state within the state". For those who believe in its existence, the political agenda of the deep state involves an allegiance to nationalism, corporatism, and state interests. Violence and other means of pressure have historically been employed in a largely covert manner to manipulate political and economic elites and ensure specific interests are met within the seemingly democratic framework of the political landscape. Former president Süleyman Demirel says that the outlook and behavior of the elites who constitute the deep state, and work to uphold national interests, are shaped by an entrenched belief, dating to the fall of the Ottoman Empire, that the country is always "on the brink". The ideology of the deep state is seen by leftists as being anti-worker or ultra-nationalist; by Islamists as being anti-Islamic and secularist; by ethnic Kurds as being anti-Kurdish, and by liberal democrats as anti-democratic and anti-liberal. As pointed out by former prime minister Bulent Ecevit, the diversity of opinion reflects a disagreement over what constitutes the deep state. One explanation is that the "deep state" is not an alliance, but the sum of several groups that antagonistically work behind the scenes, each in pursuit of its own agenda. Rumors of the deep state have been widespread in Turkey since Ecevit's term as prime minister in the 1970s, after his revelation of the existence of a Turkish branch of Operation Gladio, the "Counter-Guerrilla".

Option #2:

Just switch out "Clinton is boring" for "Clinton emails" from the list and that is how Trump won the election. For Trump, scandals were like life giving oxygen.

The US public of a voting age, having gorged on an average of 5 hours a day of TV, cannot handle someone who does not entertain them above all else.

Interesting theory, but there is an easier explanation: “I don’t think I will re-evaluate Trump.”
www.nytimes.com/2017/04/01/opinion/sunday/in-trump-country-shock-at-tr
ump-budget-cuts-but-still-loyalty.html

The reporter went to Oklahoma and found that Trump voters are not changing their minds about Trump, despite what Trump did to them in his budget. The Oklahomans actually had their minds made up long ago, before Trump got in the race. They would vote for the Republican, whoever it was. There was nothing to evaluate about Trump before the election. There will be nothing in the next 4 years about Trump to evaluate. They are already committed to vote Republican. The perfect example is President Hoover, who got 40% of the vote despite 4 years of complete inability to confront any problem. There has never been a clearer choice and yet 40% could not change their minds in 1932. While Hoover was the wrong man for the time, it won't be nearly as clear in 2020 that Trump is the wrong man. The Republican candidate, even if it is not Trump, will do much better than Hoover, despite any scandals Trump faces in the next 4 years.
