It's not just her haircut or voice that keeps me from watching Rachel, J0. If the only person in the world that actually is "in the know" of what you're talking about besides you is Rachel, than I don't believe it's something that needs to be given any serious thought.

I already asked you to post the same information from another source and you said that you can't because nobody else is covering it. You claim to have a dislike for Rachel yourself, yet you've posted half a dozen or more videos by her in the last few weeks. This means that either you want this story to be true so badly that you'll accept it from any source possible, or you actually do not dislike her at all. That's your prerogative either way. I'm just saying don't be surprised when nobody outside of your echo chamber listens to it when Maddow is the only source you can provide.

As for the stock market. The only thing I know for sure is that I cannot predict anything about it. It is run by forces much greater and much more informed than I am. It's a huge scam that has been syphoning the wealth of the workers in America and abroad.

I got lucky with it. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time with a bit of money in there. I'm thrilled to not have anything to do with it today. I was in no way saying that the market will continue in a "positive" trajectory, or attributing it to the current political environment.

We likely will have a "correction" in the market at some point, and I really hope you temper your urge at that time to say "I told you so!".

EDIT:

They don't charge 10% when you sell. At least my online handlers didn't charge that much. Might be a different story for those with the big bucks that do all of their gambling in person.

I was just kinda making a bad joke about the 10% fee you were joking about when you told everybody to pull out of the market a while back.

I dont dislike Rachel herself, just her bad habit uv repeating way too much.
In her mania to be thuro, she sumtimez derailz her prezentation.

She iznt the only plase to get newz on this story. Most uv her report iz from other soursez. Its not like she haz her own international detectiv ajensy.

Wut she duz hav iz a very good team (they all hav teamz) and they seem to be working on this more than anybody else'z team. They follow the leadz deeper and verify everything they can. You coud spend a month looking for everything you'll hear in an owr on her show.

You can watch Lawrence O'Donald, or read the NYT or other major newzpaperz but will haf to piece it all together yourself.

That is two questions. The ansewr to the srcond question is: no, I'm not an insider. The answer to the first question (How do you know which is which?) is more complicated.

You have to read and listen to A LOT of different sources. I listen to NPR. I listen to Alex Jones. I read BBC. I read RT. I also read Zerohedge and SouthFront and anyplace else that seems to be discussing an interesting topic. You have to listen with an OPEN MIND. It doesn't do any good to listen to something and be mentally arguing at the same time ... you have to find a way of putting potentially distressing information into some kind of emotional quarantine. Sometimes I just get out the mental popcorn and am prepared to be amused. Many pieces go into the "interesting if true" warehouse.

Quite often, it will take YEARS to figure something out. All I can do is give you an examples.

I knew that the official reasons for invading Afghanistan and Iraq were bogus*. Afghanistan was such a small target, but what could possibly justify the expense and lives of a full-on boots-on-the-ground invasion of Iraq??? Whatever the reason, WMD was NOT IT. (* That's a whole 'nother story.)

But if not WMD, what was the reason? It had to be important to justify all of the expense, and the cause that was the most commensurate of the scale of effort had to do ... IMHO... with the petrodollar. Early on .... VERY early on ... there was information in various media that as soon as Hans Blix found Iraq to be in substantial compliance with the UN mandate to destroy his various weapons (from the 1980s) an oil contract between Iraq, France, and Russia was to be signed. More importantly, the payments were to be in GOLD, AND A BASKET OF CURRENCIES. THE USA and its banks ... and Saudi Arabia ...are terrified of any major deviation from the petrodollar scheme because most of their wealth is tied up in ... the dollar.

This is consistent with the timing that the closer and closer that Hans Blix got to finishing the UNMOVIC inspection, the more and more frantic the propaganda got on USA television. If you recall, it was USA bombs that drove UNMOVIC out of Iraq, not Saddam Hussein.

Here comes the insight:

For YEARS I thought of the invasions as "failures". Yes, they interrupted an oil deal, but what else? Yes, contractors and the MIC (Halliburton) got a bonanza of cash, but that was a one-time thing. We didn't get the oil, we never established a reliable neo-colony and failed to impose neo-liberalism, so what - really- justified all of those lives and all of that expense? Because all that was left in our wake was great smoking ruins with terrorists running around.

It wasn't until YEARS later that the answer came to me, and it came from an unusual source called "The Truthseeker" ... some guy who spun conspiracy theories that I would get out the mental popcorn for ... only THIS time, he had someone on named Kevin Barrett. And Kevin laid out a very convincing case for the al Qaeda terrorists being a proxy Saudi Army. AND for an Israeli-Saudi-USA alliance. Suddenly the pieces fell into place ... If WE didn't get to control the mideast, then allowing the Saudis to fill up the region with their proxy-army of terrorists was a good Plan B.

We weren't "fighting" terrorism, we were abetting it ... at least, the Saudi version. By destroying governments in the Mideast that Israel wanted gone, and by allowing them to be filled up with Saudi-backed terrorists, we were giving the Saudis regional control and fulfilling Israel's strategic vision. As colonies, we opened relations in 1698 struck a trade deal in 1763, and we've been allies since 1775, when they helped back us in overthrowing British rule.

This hysteria is really asking for a new cold war, all in efforts to scuttle an oil deal which would render the US energy independent for the first time since WWII. Deal with who would want to do that and why.

When Hillary Clinton boots a presidential election that was literally hers to lose, you might have thought that she lost because she insisted on channeling her State Department emails through a private server that endangered national security; that she gave paid speeches to Wall Street and tried to hide the contents from the voters; that she called half of Donald Trump’s supporters “deplorables”; that she was a widely disliked establishment candidate in an anti-establishment year; that she was shoved down the throats of progressive Democrats by a Democratic Party hierarchy that made her nomination “inevitable” via the undemocratic use of unelected “super-delegates”; that some of her State Department emails were found on the laptop of suspected sex offender Anthony Weiner (the husband of Clinton’s close aide Huma Abedin); and that the laptop discovery caused FBI Director James Comey to briefly reopen the investigation of Clinton’s private email server in the last days of the campaign.

You might even recall that Clinton herself blamed her late collapse in the polls on Comey’s announcement, as did other liberal luminaries such as New York Times columnist Paul Krugman.

But if you thought those thoughts or remembered those memories, that is just more proof that you are a “Russian mole”!

As we all should know in our properly restructured memory banks and our rearranged sense of reality, it was all Russia’s fault!

Russia did it by undermining our democratic process through the clever means of releasing truthful information via WikiLeaks that provided evidence of how the Democratic National Committee rigged the nomination process against Sen. Bernie Sanders, revealed the contents of Clinton’s hidden Wall Street speeches, and exposed pay-to-play features of the Clinton Foundation in its dealings with foreign entities.

You see the evil Russians undermined American democracy by arming the American people with truthful information! How dastardly is that! Could Boris and Natasha do any better or worse? And although the Soviet spies in FX’s “The Americans” were in their prime in the 1980s and would be pretty old by now, do we know where they are in the present day?

Though WikiLeaks denies getting the two batches of emails – the DNC’s and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s – from the Russians, have we ruled out that the emails might have been slipped to WikiLeaks by the FX characters Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, presumably in disguise?

I'v been falling behind on my interweb yammering lately. Had a big job to do starting last Toozday, then my car detected money & broke the ignition swich, wich cauzed the muffler to explode. On top uv that, my oldest cat aNJE haz been going down hill for a few months. She died around 4:00 this morning. She wuz 19.

So I spent the week at home cranking out parts, working at all owrz, taking a nap, watching American Dad rerunz, Watching Rachel MADdow, Keith Olberman, Car Crashez Time. Finished the parts yesterday and finally fixed the car today.

It all turnz into a haze after a wile. Dont even no wut day it iz.

Sumtime during that period, I posted this in The Skeptics Forum:

But its not like the investigatorz hav stopped investigating. So, sins that wuz obviously not the objectiv, wut are sum possibilityz?

Do they think that starting a middle east war will make Trump popular enuf to overpower any attempt to start an impeachment? Are they thinking 'it worked for Bush Jr.'?

Or do they only need to delay thingz till The Big Thing they hav in the works happenz?

Just watch Assad get ass ass inated soon. He cant stay in power and he cant be spilling the beanz on Putin, so he iz doomed. Putin will find a puppet to replase him so he can continue to sell weponz there and plunder the country.

And the sanctionz agenst Russia will start to dissapate. They will try to keep it quiet, but it wont be.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss J0753. Losing a pet of 19 years is tough, I know. I just went through the same thing and have another cat who is 18 now. Needless to say, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. All the best to you in your time of grief.
