Alex Jones is special. I went to Bilderberg with him, he went up to a guy with an assault rifle, while two snipers had sites on him and Alex called them nazis to their faces. The guy has balls, but is on a whole nutter level of butter cookie.

Mysterious "Ghost Yacht" off of Australia's Coast

In 2007, an unmanned yacht was discovered drifting off the coast of Australia. The engine and a laptop were running, the radio and GPS were working and a meal was set to eat, but the three-man crew were not on board.

When I started Coffee - Cheers thread, I think I wanted it to be about fun stuff,
oddball stuff, true stuff we don't often talk about. Maybe ... I drink more tea than
coffee & more water than tea ... but "Water - Cheers!" doesn't have a ring to it.

Possibly. I don't see any reason to draw the line at stealing a boat and a laptop if you're already into kidnapping and human trafficking on the high seas though.

I think the concept of the thread is a good one. As for the yacht, why didn't the pirates at least take things like the laptop?

Since we weren't there, we'll never know ... unless one of
the pirates decides to post in here -- as well they should.

Possibility: the Coast Guard was coming; it chased the pirates,
could not catch 'em. Later, couldn't find the yacht either.

How about 3 mates have a bit of a drink and get into a row and in the course of their drunken brawl they all tumble over board. Meanwhile the current takes the ship out of reach. I remember one of those "I Shouldn't be Alive" episodes where something very similar happened to a father and daughter while they were out scuba diving. Something happened to their rental boat and crew while they were diving and when they surfaced a while later... it was gone. That started their epic swim back to shore, sharks, jelly fish, etc. pretty amazing.

Great points G. Perhaps they all dove in before they realized they were in shark infested waters?
