I read much of this till it got redundant. I have to admit I am a bit confused because of the description of the man, which differs greatly from the picture of the man being led off in handcuffs. I read on but did not finish the story because as I said it got redundant. None the less I found the whole thing fascinating.

I know. The wrong picture bothered me, too, or the wrong description.
One thing it mentioned that'd be a biggy for me is: How the heck does
anyone survive a winter in Maine with minimal shelter & supplies? &
No Fire.
Then the other thing, that I've not followed up on in years is: All the
ex-soldiers that went native, into the wild, after Viet Nam. I was
immediately reminded of them & wonder if any of them remain "off
the grid" to this day.

Propane tanks were stolen and yet he never started a fire? As you said about winters in main, surviving in a tent without a heat source is impossible. Also, no fire no cooked food. I'm afraid none of it adds up.
There was an amnesty I believe concerning Viet Nam vets. I doubt any are still at large or up in the mountains pursuing a lifestyle this guy was supposedly living.

I have heard & probably read it, but now, I don't have a reference. So
this is It as I recall about "the Formative Years." There are the preverbal
years from birth to about 3. And there are the pre-Reasoning years. I
gather the "Shrinks" observe that most people do not think critically or

the Pros ad infinitum: In my judeo/christian/roman legacy of women &
girls, second class citizens, very undesireable to Be one, We of low
self-worth, with a of conflict about ourselves, are given the task of
training the infants during their most susceptible and important period
of development. We train the boys who'll become the Leaders, the "Res-
ponsible" citizens.

I know just enough about astronomy to say, "What?!"
But I do trust math. So if this theory has been around a while, it ought to
have been proven or disproven by now. In fact, I think that astronomers &
their math have been so thorough for so long, that it'd be nigh impossible
for a surprise like this to emerge at this late date.
Anyone familiar with it?

I feel Judge Masipa took it easy on him.
As I see it, Reeva Steenkamp locked herself in the bathroom, terrified,
because Pistorius was in a killing rage. He called out to the person hiding
in the bathroom. Did she really refuse to answer him or, knowing he was
armed, did she beg for her life? He shot four times, fully intending to
kill someone ... and he knew it was her.
Sorry, folks, I don't have any "reasonable doubt" about his actions.
What I hope he finds in prison: He'll spend very little time with other
prisoners or visitors. He'll be forced to live just with himself.
